When you learn about flying from building, crashing, and re-building models you learn a lot of things you shouldn't do...which helps greatly when you're sitting in the cockpit of a full-scale machine.

This video really nails the insanity of the war that aerospace regulators are waging on model aviation. It's not just a nursery for pilots it's a nursery for engineers as well and we sacrifice it on the altar of dubious commercial gain at our peril

Before autolevel, panic, bail out, etc. I found full scale flyers take longer than air traffic controllers, crew chiefs, etc. to fly rc without re-kit-ing their plane.
