Nice video! I did not realize the Glock knives predated the pistols. I learn something new every time you post a video. Thanks!

I have one of the new production ones and it's a solid knife. The plug in the back is very difficult to remove without it marring up. Sadly good timing with the passing of Mr Glock as well

I have your exact knife and I've been searching for somebody else with it for like 10 years now. Recently I saw some sort of Internet group that collects Glock knives that had one and now your video. Reverse tang and actual Austrian Army marking. I paid $40 US for it back then. Thank God I got it. I wonder what they're worth now. EDIT: I'm jealous of your Zeigler bayonet.

I had one of those in the mid 90's, but it was made by Puma. Only markings was in the blade with the logo, the scabbard was a little different, the retention was different, it was in the belt attachment with a small plunger and a recession in the handle. Any ideas on that?

And before the knife, Glock actually manufactured shower curtain rings.

The circle with the upside down triangle is the coat of arms of the Austrian Army and „BH“ is short for „Bundesheer“ (federal army) which is the name of the Austrian Army

Another excellent video. I notice that your crossguard curves back towards the handle whereas those i see on the internet have the curve towards the blade. Is that significant ? The difference between issue & commercial ?

Good spot, I missed that. Looking at other originals they also have it facing forwards. I wonder if it's really early production, still similar to the Zeitler 77?

I have a 'Glock' knife which is different to anything i can find online. It's the same as the one at the top of the Wiki entry for then knife & labelled "first gen' ". I have assumed it's a cheap copy as the belt loop cannot open up & it lacks the locking piece - just a small dot. Leg tie is just a hole through the bottom of the sheath - no additional moulding. Any thoughts please ? Sadly i cannot post a pic here

There are plenty of fakes out there.. I don't know why anyone would go to the trouble of faking them because they are relatively cheap

Sorry I'm commenting again... because your knife is official actual true Austrian Army issue like mine... it has a different coating than the one everybody else has with the made in Austria marking. I remember hearing something about some sort of phosphorus or something like that that could not be sold on the civilian side. Your video you describe your knife as normal Glock 78 but it is not. That's a rare bird. Look at your Tang it's reversed. Even the official Austrian Army marked ones they only made so many with the reverse tang and old glock logo(circle).
