I remember being part of building the new 4 season and I'd frequent this mall at lunch or on my way home to get to the subway. Great memories of this area.

In the 1970’s and 1980’s, my wife and I enjoyed both window shopping and real shopping in Cumberland Terrace. I think that once a person could skate in the inner lower level space.

I remember Cumberland Terrace back in the 80s. It was always busy enough. There was a decent LCBO store, and a Shoppers Drug Mart. Back then the Manulife Centre wasn’t that busy. I wonder how much growth/development at Manulife might have contributed to the shift of traffic away from CT.

I lived in Toronto for 35 years and commuted along the Bloor-Danforth Line every day for work. Occasionally I would get off at Bay and go to the Manulife Centre, or The Bay (never could afford Holt Renfrew). Even 40 years ago Cumberland Terrace was sparsely tenanted. There were some interesting stores on the lower level, and the food court was, Okay. I never went up to the upper level and I don't remember any functioning businesses up there. Shame about The Bay store, always found it interesting.

It had the best salad shop I've known, a really good independent toy store, and a science shop, as well as some other unique shops. They won't find new homes.

i pass though there almost every week, i remember when things were busy, when they got rid of the Hudson Bay store, many other things went with it. the underground eatery under the Bay near Bloor STN is still there but slowly looks like its fading.

I worked in a retail spot in the lower level back in the 90s. It was awful then. The whole place just never caught on.

I used to get really good falafels from one of the vendors in Cumberland Terrance. Sad to see it so abandoned. Were the other condo is being built were other really good take-out places. I wonder if anyone will be able to afford to live there.

I was there today. Roasty still has their original menu signage up. I used to frequent the food court every workday. It was bustling and always so packed. There is only one food vendor open in the whole food court and the hair salon is still there. 20 years ago in 2005 l moved onto another job and now retired. So sad to see what 20 years did to the place. 😂
