Hey, MJ & Izzy!! I bought this Ventana 3709 immediately after viewing your video...3 days after posted. I saw that you bought the Dutch Star instead of this one. Thank you!! I've been looking for 2 years for the perfect RV for my retirement. I resolved the "no pantry" problem, and the modification will be made after I take delivery. I was using another family owned dealer and bought this one through their locate an RV help. I'm in Louisiana, and my dealership is in Kentucky. I'm retiring to central Tennessee. I can't wait to put my bucket list into action and travel more comfortably. Y'all are teaching me SO much! I had several Class A tractor trailers, and driving a big rig is my thing. This Ventana is smaller than my Peterbilt and trailer. I look forward to really seeing the country, rather than only distribution centers thanks to your videos! The king bed in the bedroom is a Sleep Number Bed. It was so soft because the air was let out of it. Now that it's aired up, it should be firm and comfortable. My KY dealer replaced the stained cover at no charge and the bed is perfect now. Keep doing what you do!

We have a 2006 Newmar Kountry Star and we also do not have a pantry. We put a clear nonslip strip down on the flat area above the table and bought baskets to set up there and put groceries in. Just an idea for you.

Take it for an extensive test drive. We had a 3426 and hated the drive. I bet your Liquid Springs coach drives and rides better. We were so unhappy with it we sold it and back to a fifth wheel. Opt for a Dutch Star then you get a side radiator for easier maintenance, longer wheelbase, larger tires and IFS.

We found a 3016 Ventana 3725 full of all options on consignment in 2020. 40,000 miles later, we are loving this coach. Our opinion as deal breaker is we love Freightliner chassis.

Starting off here with, we love your content and the effort you both put in for all of these videos. (Hopefully we will see you on the road one day). Now onward to the coach. I think you need to walk away on this one. The exterior no-doubt is an eye-catcher, and the interior (well accept for that bed stain) is nice as well. The things that catch my eye though are items like the coach battery tray with the build-up of dust (and I get it, probably unavoidable at some point if its not a sealed bay BUT), still some of the bays could have been better kept. I am thinking the coach was used, but possibly not really maintained, and that means, its-your-turn-next for that. I look for the little things.... just like you have probably seen that car with a 10/10 shine, but the engine bay area was a mess. Ultimately you wonder how well the running gear was maintained as well. (Just one humble opinion/thoughts for you both..... Have a great 2025 with retirement and open roads). BobR over and out. 🙂

I have had 18 Motorhomes from 24' Sprinter to 45' Country Coach. Have had friends that traveled with me with Spartan chassis and freightliner chassis. The ones with the freightliner chassis found it very easy to get repairs because there are so many freightliner trucks on the road and freightliner repair facilities all over US and Canada. The main one that comes to mine was on a Friday night about 8 PM. Motorhome went into limp mode called freightliner 41 miles away took my friend Ray. In an hour later they remapped the computer and on the way they went would not have gotten in if it was a Spartan chassis.($185) not bad

It’s really great. Quality just oozes out and depending on how many of you are traveling it’s a very comfortable looking vehicle. Are you seriously considering buying this? With all the weather extremes across the country you need to be prepared for anything nowadays. Heat and fires 🔥 to living in the Artic in deep snow and ice. You definitely need backups for every system just incase you get stuck somewhere and can’t move. Storage is vital especially if stranded so for canned food and dry goods plus freezer storage is possibly more important than ever now. Can you tow a vehicle and if so what size would you recommend? Having not seen you both for a while I wish you a very happy New Year and here’s to the best one ever #15 🤍🥂✨🕊️

Very nice coach. But as an owner of a diesel pusher the only thing that I would caution you on is the rear radiator,if you through a belt ( which you will😊). The fix goes from something you can fix you self on the side of the road to being towed to have someone else replace the belt costing thousands. Because the radiator will have to come out. Happy shopping.

BUY IT! Perfect length, give you the diesel benefits. I’m already experiencing RVing issues before I even get my first coach. We’re about ready to close on the sale on our first coach (using Chris -into RV) and the dealership found out that the title was one digit off from what’s on the coach itself so they have to redo the title before we can actually finish buying it. 😢😢

Nice Coach...people get too wound up about the rear Radiator...I wouldnt let that be a deal l breaker. The chassis reflects the price, you'll pay more up front for a side rad and bigger engine , likely a far bigger difference than the potential labor cost increase on a repair.

I am a maintenance freak, I try to do as much as I can myself therefore the rear radiator would be a deal breaker for me. Te rear radiator also allows road dirt, especially when its raining, to be drawn into the engine compartment..

We picked up a 2021 Newmar Kountry Star 3709 with 5,500 miles at NIRVC that is very similar to this for a less. We are going to take out the fireplace and change the shelves around so we have a pantry and getting rid of the couch and putting in theater seating. That bed should be a sleep number bed so you can adjust them because they came with sleep number beds.

We just purchased a 2019 Ventana 3717 in November and love it. We have put 1,800 miles on her and she runs great. You stated that the tow capacity is 10,000 pounds. Is that with a weight distribution hitch? Ours will only tow 5,000 pounds on a Freightliner chassis (360 HP Cummins).

How do you stay warm when boondocking in the winter without propane? We have over 5,000 watts of solar and 23.5kwh of batteries (the equivalent of 18, 100ah Battleborns) on our coach that will run our mini split heat pump all night to help keep our coach warm, but we still need propane when it dips below freezing.

How do you feel about the rear radiator?

This is a lovely coach, with many nice features, ample storage, and so on. I'm also good with the size, though IMHO, it's really a 38-footer. Our Beaver Patriot was a 37 at 37'1". In any case, our experience is that a 37/38 has all the features of the 40, minus a couple of inches of space here and there. What am I critical about? Rear radiator. That's a deal breaker for us. The side radiator does occupy a complete compartment for the radiator, charge air cooler and the AC condenser. In exchange service access for the engine is 1000% better. For example, accessing a V-belt can be done standing and hardly even getting your hands dirty. Equally important is the fact that side radiators are FAR less likely to get gummed up with roadside crud or holed by rocks kicked up by the rear tires. My other concern is the engine. The Cummins 6.7L engine is an excellent engine, however it's a tad small for a coach with a 38K# GVWR. By comparison, our old Beaver Patriot had the larger Cummins C8.3 engine; the current version of that engine is the Cummins ISL8.9L, usually with 400/450 HP and 1,000-1,200 lb ft of torque. While the '"little" 6.7L will get the job done, it will be on the slow side. My educated guess based on the coach loaded to 37K towing a 4K TOAD is slightly under 40 MPH up a 6% grade, and the transmission will be shifting down on every grade, often several gears. Considering your plans for lots of traveling in the coming years, my hunch is that you'd be better off finding a slightly older coach with a side radiator and the Cummins 8.9ISL. The Newmar New Aire would be more in line with our recommendations, and more likely be built before Winnebago acquired Newmar. As for price; I have no opinion on price and besides this is your money and strictly your business. Good luck.

Have you folks ever done a video on rving vs staying in hotel-lodging? Many years ago camping spots were much less than today. Here is were I struggle. By the time you buy the rv, insurance, maintenance and all the items you buy for the rv you could travel and stay in lodging, no dishes or dumping. Take $100k imagine how many times you could travel per year on that and that no counting all the above stuff. Buy and rv or not???

Ventana would be my choice or Dutch Star if buying a Class A, so much coach for the price. IMO better than the KA, MA, Essex or LA. The 360/800 is plenty, especially when put in performance mode. Same as what we have. I hope you guys buy/bought it Someone will . I suspect one reason for taking Nellie to Indiana was to get trade value on this 😉

You’re gonna laugh at me cause I’m an older gal, but I like to see when “old type” connections (like cable) are still available on units. Some can’t afford starlink or other fancy-dancy options. Or don’t want to just to save $$$. One thing that pi$$es me off about newer cars is no more cd players! I have a huge collection, I do Not know how to get said music on my phone to play in the car; I just want to pop in my favorite cd & be on the road!! I’m thrilled with new technology; not all of us can make it work!! At Least make it an option!! It’s the same ridiculousness trying to Force everyone into EV vehicles.
