Tested the edp for the first time today. I like the orange in the opening and the development is good; classic Dior using contrasting fragrance accords. However, it smells like decent deodorant. I swear I've smelled this from a deodorant before. I tested the modern Gentleman edt too and I don't know why that's not super popular. Sauvage is pretty expensive for a deodorant.

Not many people wear fragrance, in my opinion, here in San Diego. In my 20 years here, I’ve never been running errands and smelled someone wearing cologne. If I do smell something , it’s usually a younger girl rocking a body mist. It’s never been a grown person rocking a niche. I’m totally okay with this because it assures me that I’m very unique when I wear Elysium/ Neroli Portofino

I used to have Dior Sauvage and just wore it when I ran errands. The smell is really nice, compliment factor is there but you are 100 percent right Melissa. It's not only about the scent, but also the feeling you have when wearing it. I always felt uncomfortable because of the bad association and stopped wearing it when a girl rolled her eyes and said something like "oh another one of those who wear Sauvage" (It wasn't me wearing it, someone else at the party lol). Keep in mind that I come from Germany and fragrances are relatively cheap here. 16 year old guys start wearing Sauvage in school, costs only about 50 euro. EVERYONE in the age of 15-25 knows this fragrance and because of Jeremy, fragrances become more common here.

I live also in Germany. And I barely smell fragrances. Even in towns like Cologne or Düsseldorf. So idk what you are talking about. Everytime I wore Dior Sauvage, I got compliments from family & friends. No one knew, it was Dior Sauvage.

I honestly do not know anyone who else wears Dior Sauvage personally or have ran into anyone else wearing Dior Sauvage haha. The mass people who buy are all strangers to me, so how would that affect me? I could careless if a stranger buys it, I'll never see them. Same should go with everything else that people also buy the same item. Shoes, shirts, Levi's Jeans haha everyone has Levi's jeans, does that make everyone not want to wear it anymore? I just bought a 3.4 oz and 6.8 oz Dior Sauvage EDT, I am new to this fragrance and never owned it after so many years being out. I like it personally and don't care if others wear it, not like I'll see them or be close to them to smell it.

I would describe Sauvage Elixir as a 3 floor club in Dubai full of guys who oversprayed their strongest cologne only to have zero females no show. Could be that I gravitate more toward fresh scents instead of the heavy spice. I know I can’t be the only one who thinks this.

sauvage edp is BY FAR my most complimented fragrance. (granted i dont wear it out at the club/bar) I always atleast 8 sprays with all my fragrances

I 2nd this. Sauvage EDP has gotten me lots of compliments, colleagues asking me what I’m wearing. My least complimented is surprisingly Creed Aventus, I’ve had 0 compliments

I feel like I'm extra sensitive to ambroxan. Dior Sauvage and other heavy ambroxan scents are very abrasive for me. When used lightly in fragrances, it's fine. I went to the mall in my area and I could smell the ambroxan overload coming from the guys spraying fragrances on cards. I wasn't even close to them, I could even smell from the next floor up. Headache inducing.

Why assume Dior Sauvage is a date fragrance or one you wear to make a first impression? Yea its popular and hated because its good, then wear it on casual occasions where you are around people you are already acquianted with! Use judgement i mean, just as you won't wear Interlude Man in super high heat, don't wear Dior Sauvage when you are in certain situations where you might have people roll their eyes at your mainstream perfume. Im lucky because where i live people don't wear fragrance couse its considered a luxury product and most can't afford it, even i barely can to be honest. And even those that wear they have Avon, Oriflame and lately middle eastern cheapies. Sure if i lived in a big city even in my country i perhaps wouldn't have bought Sauvage but here i have no competition, especially with me not being the party goer type where i might encounter the infamous Sauvage. In fact here people give you the look when i spray on some OUD fragrances. 3 sprays of Montale Black Aoud and people think a funeral is about to go down in here and im the priest LOL.

Funny you dropped this today. Curly Fragrance just dropped two videos back to back on why you shouldn't buy Sauvage. Here's my two scents..... To me, the scent profile on Sauvage Parfum is 🔥 🔥 I my personal top 25 list of Bangers I own, Sauvage Parfum would be 6 or 7 HOWEVER you CANNOT wear Sauvage in an environment like a Club, Bar, Concert or any other large scale gathering. It's gonna be too many dummies in there that have took a bath in it to get some chick's attention😔 Sauvage Parfum is for the Library, the Grocery Store, the Movie Mattine or even the DMV. All my compliments from Sauvage have been in a non-clubbing/Bar environment. One woman even asked me what I was wearing, as if she never smelled Sauvage before. But in the Club, I wouldn't have had a shot with Sauvage. In the Bar, I'm coming out blastin with Oudmazing, Oud Tobacco, Sorriso or maybe Lafayette Street. I wouldn't even wear Sauvage Elixir in the Bar because it's getting really popular as well. Funny you mentioned Dylan Blue. I'm doing a fragrance haul next week and I'm ordering a 50ml of Dylan Blue. I agree Dylan Blue is 🔥 and you might be able to get away with that at the club. Just the 2 cents of a 63yr old OG😄 Thanks for posting❤

You can actually get by with 1 spray. Especially if it's from the pressurized atomizer. It puts out Hella juice with only 1 spray.

I normally don’t be around people that wear fragrances. I love Versace Dylon Blue. It’s my go to.I also have Dior elixir and. I love it! But the bad is that one spray of that is all you need. I have had samples of Dior Sauvage but never a full bottle. I’m always in situations that I’m in close rage with people some I can’t afford to overspray. So I’m normally around one or two sprays. Only time when it’s three is when I’m outside for events.

So I’ve been seeing a lot of discourse online about how this is a fragrance “everyone” has. That it is boring, soulless, metallic, etc. Well I live in Chicago and have yet to smell this on anyone else, despite it being a number one seller and (allegedly) worn by children and fuckboys the world over. Are teens and kids really dropping 150 bucks on this stuff? I don’t think so. Are fragheads who smell like CDNIM wearing this? No. The truth is, all you need is Dior Sauvage, and I think it’s time we acknowledge that. I see some peoples posts on here, with 50+ frags arranged with mood lighting inside a cabinet or on a silver tray. Are you really wearing all of those bro? Who is this bizarre shrine for?What do girls say when they come over and see your collection? Oh wait, they can’t say anything because they don’t exist in your world, because you look like a hoarder freak. And no woman would subject herself to your sickness. All you need is Sauvage. It is so wearable and multipurpose. It can be used day or night, at school or at the office, etc. When I put Dior Sauvage on I turn into a different person. I’m not joking. My back straightens, my muscles get tighter, and my balls drop even further. No, I’m not kidding. It fucks in the way that no other fragrance does, and it’s the type of frag to spit roast your girlfriend alongside aventus while you sit in the corner and watch with your baby penis in your hand, reeking of oud. Do I have Aventus? NO. I have Dior Sauvage. “What about the Sauvage flankers?” You may be wondering. Well, buy any one of them. They all have the same effect. They all WORK. Bleu de chanel SUCKS. Good luck getting laid or getting any positive attention with that. Example: I’ve had two girls in Sephora specifically say “omg Dior Sauvage is so outplayed, it smells like old man” when I was shopping one day. so I wore Sauvage around them the next time I stopped in. Guess what they said? “Omg what are you wearing today? It smells great!” Stupid bitch. I’m wearing Sauvage. My best friend collected fragrances and you know what? He is ashamed. Hides it from the world. His sick addiction. He doesn’t want women to know he is a freak. But Johnny Depp’s signature fragrance (Sauvage) saved him. Sold his creed, YSL, PDM… all garbage flooding his shelves to make room for the king, and the only thing he needs. Sauvage saved him. Wear Sauvage and rejoice. I spray Sauvage one on chest,one on my T-shirt and one on the back of my neck,but I stopped wearing it for now,at least the fresh ones,it’s Fall here where I’m at,so atm I’m wearing the Elixir, I like beast mode fragrances cause I’m an electroplater by trade and I’m surrounded by all kinds of scents like acids and cyanides,so it’s nice to get a whaf now and then from the fragrance I wear, I normally go for fragrances that I know people didn’t smell yet at least where I stay,like Royal Oud,SMW by Creed

Sauvage BDC Y and ADG seem like the big 4 popular blue frags. In my area BDC and ADG seem like the most common. I like the profile of Sauvage best out of the 4 so picked up a bttle of the EDP for a solid dumb reach. Got plenty more interesting stuff but I like it.
