I still have a leaky sunroof but it drips on the passenger side. Are the drain tubes located in the front fenders or where are they? Also my Tiburon will forever have a check engine light on because mine has no catalytic converters so i pulled the light bulb out since i got tired of seeing it all the time, i just keep an obd2 reader with me so i can scan it every once and a while.

They’re on all 4 corners of the sunroof, you can stick a very small tube down them to snake them down. Most of the time when it goes into your headliner the drains are dislodged. You’ll need to losen your headliner and pull most of it off to re attach and zip tie the tubes back on. I feel you on the cel it would drive me mad but I would probably put a sticker over it 😅😂

With the pre purchase inspection, do you just book it in at a shop near where you're buying it from?

For some reason in the UK we dont do pre purchase inspections, you just buy the car from what you can see. I worked in a garage for a while on work experience, never had a ppi come in

@@callumfeather I ask if they’re willing to meet me at a shop for a pre purchase inspection and that I’d pay for it (usually I just find it easier to pay since it’s only like 60$ and they’re more likely to agree if they’re not paying) then depending on their answer I find one near me or halfway whatever is agreed on. I find one with good reviews and I call and ask if they can do a pre purchase inspection of a sellers car I’m trying to buy. And you ask available days and check with the seller if they can make that and then you meet there and go from that. I would only do this if you’ve already seen the can and to you everything looks good and you already told them you’d buy it if it passes this inspection

@@F1z.e I paid 7k for mine at 70k miles so I know what you mean 😂 they’re rare to find in great condition and low miles so people know what they have when they sell one like that. If you’re really into them I think the price is worth it and I’ve even considered importing one with low miles 😂

Do you have any kind of records you can check the car through over there? In the uk we have yearly mots so you can check that to see if its been asvised for rust, or any worn out parts etc.

@@callumfeather there’s car fax you can request but not everything gets added to it. Only oil changes at certain registered shops or dealerships -which most people don’t go to. And accidents-that many don’t report. So a lot can actually sneak under the radar. When I bought my Mazda the dealership gave me this explanation that it was checked by them and it was a clean title. The week later I took it to a shop to get looked at and not only was it in a front end collision but the control arms were gone so I had to pay 800$ my first week that I could have avoided. I made the dealership pay for my new front bumper cuz the one on there was broken and they tried to hide it but you can easily get tricked. But no we don’t need any inspections yearly, only a safety when selling the car that isn’t very thorough, if it drives and has seatbelts and brake lights, it passes

@theliltibby yeah that's not great, atleast over here we get a sign of what has been replaced or not, for example if it failed one year on shocks or bushes, and then it passed, you can assume that has been fixed.
