170lbs yes but you’re not factoring in what the factory bumper weighs. The factory bumper doesn’t weight 0lbs, I’d guess it’s 50-75lbs so realistically you’re gaining 100lbs +\- which really isn’t that much.

Right, it's like adding one heavy passenger to the cab, although not quite accounting for leverage since the bumper is fully forward.

The better question is, how do you best account for the loss in ride height? I think increasing the spring rate is the best answer, but I’ve found the numbers on spring rates is pretty lacking. Therefore, how do you know what rate spring or which aftermarket spring to choose?

Learning here, so forgive both the comment and question: Owning a 2022 RAM 1500 Laramie 4x4, I was advised my stock suspension is upgraded over a 4X2 and can “handle” the Ranch Hand Summit bumper, which is 175 pounds. Does this sound correct, and more importantly, will I need to upgrade my stock suspension if I get an aftermarket steel bumper/brush guard? All input welcome and thank you!
