What are you initial thoughts on the Perception Outlaw Kayak?!

As a fellow Outlaw 11.5 owner, I agree with everything you said. I’m significantly older than you, and I don’t have the balance I once did, so standing can be an adventure, but the higher seat is a godsend. Like you stated, I can sit for 6+ hours and it’s still comfy. I flyfish rivers and lakes from mine, and it is the best I have found! Good review and have fun modding your kayak!

One criticism is their proprietary RAM mount holes. They are too far from the seat. The simple ball mounts that have nothing but a screw in base and a 1 or 1.5 inch ball cost $27.50. Connector for the phone another $20-30 and it puts your phone out of reach when sitting. Expensive and not useful, don’t use their RAM mount holes. Otherwise, this kayak rocks and I have it decked out.

Yep im going on year three for mine. Love it. Light enough to roof top on my car with a foam rack. You forgot to mention the fish finder transducer space under front scupper hole. Just installed mine for a small garmin striker 4cv. Good review

Thanks for making the video! I’m in the research phase of purchasing a kayak for fishing. I like the open space to stand up, I don’t want pedals in the way, I would probably mount a trolling motor in the back.

Thanks for reviewing this kayak. Have you had it on a river? I want to fish a small river . It looks real stable. When I get in my old Dagger Crossover I have to be real careful to only stand in the middle while I get my weight in. I like the Crossover on the river but it is hard to fish out of.

It is very stable! I can stand up in it no problem. It’s not the fastest tracking kayak but it is definitely stable

You absolutely can! I have a friend around 6’ with this same kayak and he loves it!

Youll definitely like it, really the only downside is it doesn’t track super fast in the water but I’d take stability and comfortability over speed!

This is a nice kayak man. You made a good choice man. I like how it's not a 120Ibs kayak like old Town kayak. Don't get me wrong I like those kayak too but I don't need a heavy kayak right now. I also like the Deck Patting on the kayak too cuz I have to kayak barefooted 👣 because I have big very very Extremely wide feet 🦶 sz15 6E wide with very very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across making my foot very very Extremely wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe. My foot outgrow shoes , socks , & boots when I was 18 years old & Flip flops 🩴 is the only footwear that will barely and I mean barely fit on my feet 🦶 because my toes are wider than the flip flops 🩴 straps & I don't went to break the only footwear that will barely fit on my foot so I go Barefooted 👣 finding a flip-flops 🩴in a sz15 is very very hard to find. The Price of the kayak do not seem bad too. P.S. I like your birkenstocks Arizona sandals man. I use to wear those back when my foot could fit in them. But now my foot is so wide that the straps will not Buckle up over top of my foot Because of how wide my feet 🦶 are. I was born with very very extremely wide feet 🦶 & I wish my feet was not this wide. 6 1/2 inches wide is just to wide for a foot. Very good video buddy. Thanks you for sharing it.
