Hopefully you could help me I’m getting engine oil in my radiator.... We already changed out the oil cooler in the block and it’s still getting oil in the radiator and I’m loosing oil on the dipstick. Pulled the head off and the gasket that was in it doesn’t fully match all the holes with my new gasket. You think who ever worked on it before me could of put the wrong head gasket? And maybe that’s why I’m getting oil in the radiator?

@@CUTTERUPROB 5.9 second gen. We took the head off and come to find out the head gasket that was in it was the wrong gasket. Truck is running real nice. No blow bye and no more oil in the radiator.

So I could see if the block was machined to run a thicker gasket for piston protrusion. But if the head was machined .010 there is no need to run a thicker one correct?

IF I PULLED A THOU OFF MY HEAD I WOULD ADD THAT THOU BACK SO YES THAT IS WHY THE MAKE THEM AS U "NEVER " WANT YOUR VALVES MEETING YOUR PISTONS AN EXTRA THOU CLEARANCE IS WAAAAAY BETTER THAN PISTONS EATING VALVES

@@rocklanddale8646 I took .015 off my head and ran standard thickness head gasket with know issues. You only need to if you machine the block because the piston protrudes out of the bore, and it will protrude that much more.

I got a mahle gasket and it doesn’t have the weep hole in-between the cylinders. Is this okay???
