I followed you guys since the MySpace era. Your sound was always way ahead of the time. I don't know how you manage to pull out such 3d sound from guitars. I always thought it was synths through guitar amps

You're right, the original song was all synths with virtual guitar amps. I used to try to make my synths sound like guitars. Now I've come full circle and I'm trying to make my guitar sound like synths. I do think this version sounds way better than the original, though.
