I played Perspectives at a game convention with 6 people. And while all 6 people where connected somehow, not everybody knew all the other people before the game. I have to say it was a very good experience. We just wanted to try and had planned to do the first case only. But after the first case everybody wanted to do case 2. And we did case 3 as well after that (though 1 person went to sleep because it was really late at that time). I think we did between 2 hours and 2 hours and a half for each case. As the most experienced player I had to act as a sort of "game master" and help people that were more shy talk more, while telling people who were talking too much to wait a little bit and allow everyone to participate. So it is certainly group dependant. But it worked very well, and I enjoyed the fact that at 6 players you have less information, so it's easier to focus on your information and I think you might miss less stuff. I would not play this game at 2, and even 3. At 6 players, you only have 1/6th of the information and the communication is really key. At 2 or 3 players, each player has much more information and to me I might enjoy it less. I am glad a new box of perspectives is coming out, because I think it's really a great game.

The artist did each unique miniature creatures with material from the forest. Amazing stuff in AI times!

Agree that Perspectives is a great game. Much prefer the limited information approach to a co-op rather than the more common limited communication - which always feels like an artificial and not particularly fun restriction.

Yeah very well done for such a simple concept!

I really enjoyed playing Cities at my FLGS. Easy to learn, easy to play, but with interesting decisions each time. As for a game to check out to play with your families, look into seeing if you can get Loco Momo. It's been a big hit in Europe for years, and only just recently got distributed in the US and Canada. I got my copy from France 3 years ago and still love it. It's a tile placement, drafting, set collection game, so mechanically similar to Azul, but far more interesting in my opinion. For one thing, the theme is you're trying to arrange forest animals for a group photo! Definitely check it out.

Too bad they've only got distribution to Europe at the moment.

I am also curious to know about how it plays at two! So far, I get the impression it is better with more,

We didn’t end up playing it at 2. I feel 3-4 would be the sweet spot for it though due to the pressure each round selecting the tiles.

Cities and Pixies look interesting to me. I love Sea, Salt and Paper, so Pixies is a must. My group and I have been playing Yokohama (2024) a lot. Nothing new compared to the original, but a great game.

So, how would you rate Pride of Ninja (at least the demo that you played)?

If you enjoyed Perspectives, you guys should definitely play Noobs in Space if you haven’t already! Seems like they are similar. We've only played Noobs in Space though. Great video though! Just got my Yokai Septet kickstater this week.
