Definitely this one. Although I also like to play it with 0ppm in the beginning for a more competitive game.

Haven't tried this yet. I only have the first version that I got in the math trade. I've got a bad feeling this may never make it to the table. :(

@@marknadeski7485 its so good. I have both first and second edition but really prefer the first one (1-5p) for solo play. I have never done it 5p but for solo the first edition is much quicker to set up and takes up way less table space. The deluxe second edition above is also great, the co-op mode I have only tried solo but find it kinda lacks the intensity of the competitive mode which was already sort of co-operative as you may win as an individual but without cooperation everybody looses and that is what makes this game special.

hey Monique and Naveen! Great playthrough! FYI, the unlabeled fossil fuel slots without "2050" is actually a misprint, those slots should have 2050 printed on them, which obviously makes it a lot harder....it's in the official errata and misprints found on BGG

Thanks for the great video. I think I would really enjoy this game, love the theme, but I feel I would have an incredibly hard time getting it to the table with my regular gaming friends. And probably never a second time. For what it's worth I think that you two are the people in the Board Game KZbin world that I would most enjoy sitting down over a board game with. I just simply enjoy the energy in your videos.

Thanks for this great video ! Never stop please :). At 21:00, you say that "whoever has the most cubes in this area is the person who has control". I think that the number of cubes doesn't matter. Only the fact that you are present in the 3 areas or if there is a tie that you re on the far left (if tie again , you have more knowledge in the type you just built). Anyway I will check ! Great playthrogh. I didn't really understand the events (thought it would have destroyed you at the end of round 4!) but otherwise enjoyable and I really like the theme. Can you provide a link to your co-op playthrough? I'd really like to see how that differs, thanks.

Great playthrough! I think I prefer the first edition? I'm not really sure yet. There's a couple things tha make it a bit tighter and more straight forward (no consideration of infrastructure ownership, scientists work differently, fewer "when this happens, take a bump on the track" things to forget, etc.) Definitely competitive over coop, though I think either way.

I don't think it was mentioned 🤔 above the regions there is a tech cube symbol which is for when you need to pay a fine during event phase (aka no infras. or powerp. in the area), you put the cube there instead of the pool. That cube can be used to pay into the cost (only 1) by anyone who builds a powerplant in that region. Also 1 cube will be discarded at the beginning of the event phase. Another thing again not sure if was mentioned at all. During supply phase if there is no control marker then you move and discard the cep as you guys did, but if there is a control marker you supposed to place that onto the fossil fuel (simply for indication, no other purpose really) and the owner decides if they spend the cep from that area or any other area they control or from their hand.

At 34:30 Naveen builds a powerplant on a level 1 hydro project, but he doesn't have the required level of hydro tech to do so (in fact he has no hydro tech). To build a level 1/2 powerplant you need to have reached the level 1/2 space respectively of the matching tech track. You mentioned the rule at 55:00 but don't spot the mistake at that point. Not sure if you see it later on as that's as far as I've got!

@@BeforeYouPlay For sure! My game group, which is mostly into heavy Euros, played this three times in one night. We lost horribly the first two, until it finally dawned on us we need to pay a lot more attention to working together in the first part of the game, and THEN get all selfish.

Nice playthrough! I have this game and i really love it in his coop mode (i've never played semi-coop). But here in Spain, people say's that the semi-coop mode is broken because you dont have any benefits when you try to cooperate to keep the CO2 levels low. Did you guys feel the same? is really necessary that benefit? thanks!

Try it. With the variant of starting with 0ppm. And in the end it's beneficial anyway to build those plants since that's where a lot of points come :)
