Beginner Barber Tips | Fade Using Detachable Blades

I'm a father of 5 boys, and haircuts are very expensive. Because of this, I cut the younger boy's hair into a caesar; however, my older boys go to the barbershop which is about $80 per month. Anyway, I've been watching dozens of videos on KZbin in an attempt to learn how to fade, and I must say yours has been the most helpful and most informative. Just wanted to say thank you.

this tutorial is phenomenal the way you demonstrate your techniques love how you explain as you go most tutorials i see have nothing but music and talk overs and dont really explain the whole cut not yours can tell that you really feed off your craft i have a detachable my barber back home gave me just last week when i went to visit her but story short when i got and get my cut by her its always with a detachable clipper she says because shes a traditional barber and thats what a real old school barber uses

In the UK not many people use detachables, I can't find any seller that does the 1 1/4 and 1 3/4, so i have to bust out the taper clipper when fading. I do feel the detachables cut the hair more even for sure!

If u don't have a 1 3/4 can you just use the 1 1/2 only to get rid of the line and then use the 1a to completely knock it out? I was wondering if you showcase cuts using just an adjustable clipper because I feel most amateurs or beginner barbers don't have enough to shell out on detachables.
