The Beginner Beanie is an easy and fast crochet beanie! It is worked using a super bulky weight yarn and basic crochet stitches!

Skill Level: Beginner
Gauge: 8 sts x 8 rows of hdc = 4 inches
Finished Size: 10 x 9 inches laid flat, 20-22 inch circumference to fit an adult head.
Yarn: Wool-Ease ® Thick & Quick by Lion Brand ® (80% Acrylic, 20% Wool; 5.0 oz, 140 g; Approx. 87 yds, 80 m). Super Bulky Weight (6). 1 ball. Colour Shown is Coney Island
Hook: Size L/11 (8 mm) Hook. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions: Yarn Needle.

Love your work . Question? When i measure my brim at 19’’ and you use 74 sc around, i rarely use the same size of yarn as you , so how can i gage or caculate the number of sc stitches around ?Is there a ratio you apply??

Hi Sarah, even though I am not a beginner, I still enjoy beginner patterns, especially hats. Can you explain turning in the round? Does that help hide the seam you get when joining? Thanks again.

Sarah I looked and couldn't find a xifinity scarf with a twist ? Do u have a tutorial for one and also a very simple quick stich for a baby blanket I was thinking the suzette stich but then I was thinking about a easy bobble so baby has texture to feel and start playing with the bobbles on belly time doing it kinda bright if doing bobble or just whatever I make so baby is attracted to the colors as they start seeing very Cleary and be fascinated by it but I want it to beautiful and I only buy 4 ply yarn I cannot by bulky I just bought ombre 3 of each color which was 4 colors and that was 79.00 good thing it has some yardage oh that was the other thing do you have a tutorial on hat/scarf combo connected don't know what it's called but I have seen them a couple of times and I like watching and learning more from you alot lately and I thank you for sharing

I know you are giving hook sizes in a universal way, but could you also say the old letter system for us luddites that can put our old hands on the right hook faster than searching for millemeters? TY

An 8mm crochet hook is the letter L.

Is 40 stitches adult size? I am very new at crocheting and mine wasn’t even close to fitting. I ended up with over 50 stitches in my chain to fit me. Maybe I’m crocheting too tight? Love your videos!
