I have made many baby blankets with your help, not just this one. I haven't crocheted since making my granddaughter's blanket. She loved her blanket and carried it everywhere she went. She would scream if she didn't have it and had to have it when she slept. She passed away from SIDS, so her mom gave it back to me, and now I sleep with it. I know I should put it away, but I can't. It's the only thing that makes me feel close to her.

Love it! I hold my yarn “weirdly”, too. It’s one of the things that keeps me from posting tutorials. I know people will come at me for it. My grandma had a hard time explaining to me how to hold the yarn, so I did what I had to do 😂❤
@massivecrochetАй бұрын
Glad you love it, thanks a lot! 🙏 ❤️ 🥰 Don't worry about how you hold the yarn. I haven't worried about it either, and I have to tell you that since I started my channel, no one has ever criticized me for it, some have found themselves working in my style.There's no standard way to do it, everyone has their own, and what's important is to work well. 😊 If you're thinking of posting tutorials, I suggest you do it without hesitation. You might even support others like us who hold yarn in an unusual way. And if you need any advice or help, don't hesitate to ask. 😊

So I struggle with tension and loop size being consistent... Maybe your way would resonate with some. I do know what you mean about people coming for you though. @massivecrochet21 күн бұрын
Glad you love it, thanks a lot! 🙏 ❤️ 🥰 I usually carry the yarn up the side, but in this case, I didn't because it would leave too long and visible a strand along the side, which I'm not fond of. So, I cut it and reintroduced the color later on. 😊

@massivecrochet thank you for this video, it is so easy to follow along as your slow and deliberate movements make it easy to see what to do. Also, the calm music along with your unhurried stitching makes this meditative. I have also found that crochet is quite meditative for me, even as a newbie. I really want to crochet a throw/blanket and have been thinking that I should probably use a stitch where you start in the middle and work towards the outside. However this stitch is really lovely and I would like to try to use it for this project. Do you think it would be possible to crochet this about the width of a single bed? That world make the starting chain pretty long and as someone relatively new to crochet I’m not sure I’d that would be too cumbersome or difficult to do. Would you have any advice, please? If not this stitch is there one you have a video tutorial of that your would recommend? Thank you so much I’d you can help me and thank you anyway for such a calm and clear tutorial video!
@massivecrochet3 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! 🥰 🙏 ❤️ It means the world to me to know that my videos are helpful to you! 🌸 🤗 🌸 I agree, crochet can indeed be very relaxing.❤️ 😌 It's definitely possible to use this stitch for a single bed throw. Although I have created many very simple patterns suitable for beginners, I find this one you've chosen is ideal for you. It's a super simple pattern that only requires working with two stitches and doesn't demand you to focus on counting stitches, so you'll see that it works up very quickly! Anyway, before starting the big project, practice the stitch on a smaller piece to get comfortable. 😊 Happy crocheting.

I've been crocheting and knitting since I was 8 years old I'm now 57, I can literally crochet with my eyes closed once I learned a pattern and I'm pretty darn close to that with knitting, some of these stitches are very beautiful but you're talking about a lot of yarn being used in very thick heavy pieces,
@massivecrochet5 күн бұрын
Glad you like them, thanks a lot. 🙏 ❤️ ☺️ Well, they're not as heavy as they seem to be. Some patterns do call for a lot of yarn, however, not all patterns are like that. Also, many patterns work well with lighter yarns too. It's all about choosing the right yarn for the project. 😊

Hi🎉🎉 I have a question:) Do think this pattern would be good for a Blanket? I was think maybe use like Candy Cane Colors🥰 I would your advice on this. ❤

Hi! 😊 Surely! It's specifically designed for blankets and bags, but you can also make scarves, shawls, and much more. Using Candy Cane Colors sounds like a great idea! 💡 👍 🙋🏻♀️

I hope you don't mind me adding a point. I think it would be beautiful for a blanket, especially in cotton... I would suggest a crochet hook at least 1mmlarger than normal because it is quite a solid, firm design. A larger hook would make it softer without taking away from the design
