I have 2 red pine that I just finished hanging wire and setting a shape for it to grow into in the future. I love red pine. They are both beautiful and dramatic. My two red pine both came from a garden nursery, not a bonsai nursery unfortunately, so both will require much work in the coming years to overcome the deficiencies of being grown for yard planting and poorly grafted. From mud I will try to make a beautiful sculpture. Thank you Kanta-san for your insight on this channel, it is very helpful as I nurture these lovely trees.

This is Mr Kanta's genius. Comparing the before and after, we can see that the design solution was always in the bushy head of the tree, but not very apparent to Mr Mishima or to Mr. Q (or to viewers!). This is a skill that not many bonsai practitioners have and it's why I'm a member.
