I love the way you give instructions. You are a wonderful teacher! I personally prefer the scarf worked as a double row after the first 5 ruffles. It creates a fuller scarf & it doesn’t twist up on you.

That's a great tip for others.

Just finished making this. It's super easy. A little warning -- if you have to put it down before finishing, secure your last loop with something like a safety pin instead of your hook. If you don't, and your hook falls out, your stitches will fall out quickly.

how long should the scarves be? I have had one ball give me a 2 yd scarf. another ball gave me a 2 - 1 1/2 yd scarves. is it the pattern you use or the type of sashay you work with? thank you.

Okay, so I have a question...I recently made one for my daughter and well kids will be kids so the middle started coming loose. The ends are still intact and look great but the middle isn't anymore (I'm hoping this makes sense), it just looks the way it does when it comes off the skein, is there a way to fix that?

I tried making this scarf for the first time last night. It turned out a lot longer than I thought it would. How long are your scarves if you use the whole skein doing this method?

I've also seen this done with a latch hook. Wish I found it when I was making mine, the hook kept getting caught for me. :)

everyone always said wrap around a paper towel tube, grabbing from the middle is so much nicer

Is there a reason for the back to front versus doing those stitches front to back (I'm asking because I just finished a scarf like this and I did every stitch front to back and I thought it turned out great..). Thx!

this is awesome. A friend of mine has asked me to make her a scarf and matching purse for her birthday. Well, this will take care of the scarf now, I just need to find the purse pattern. Thank you Mikey you are the best.

Gerald Bowen , its realy easy, just take your time, and if you take a break make sure you put a stitch marker in your last loop or it will come out. I've made 2 now and starting a third. Im crocheting for the homeless.

Does 1 skein make 1 scarf?
@donyaw.14536 жыл бұрын
Mikey I watched a few tutorials for working with sashay yarn and I ended up with questions. 1. Does it make a scarf less full or longer if you do 5 holes compared to 8-10? 2. I've seen where it's worked completely from front to back and also from back to front. It's leaving me a little confused. Can you clear things up for me? Thank you P.S. there's no sashay yarn on the shelves at the Michaels where I live. :-(

Working more holes will end up with a more bulky but shorter scarf. And working lesser holes each time will give you a longer and a less denser scarf. And alternating the front to back and back to front just makes it a bit easy to pull the loop through, otherwise the hook catches on to the rest of the loops. Hope that helps💕

would have liked to see you ACTUALLY finish off instead of just telling us how... would make it a bit easier for me to follow. off to another video i go.
