Do you struggle with independence on the drums? Of all the things you can practice on the drums, coordination is often overlooked. Most beginners find hand and foot coordination to be tough at first. We often get caught up working on our hand independence that we forget about our hand foot coordination on the drums. Learn how to synchronize single strokes and double strokes with your sticks along with simple rhythms with your feet. We work on our sticks so often, foot coordination exercises are equally as important to your drumming. I've always had trouble working out when I'm supposed to lift my leg to get the timing on the downbeat of the bass drum. I've seen some drummers lift it on the previous quarter note, but you seemed to lift it on the previous 16th. Would you mind explaining how you do it please? Thank you for the video.
