After my 35 year break from drumming in a band to raise a family, I started getting back into it again and I had learned most of this on my own, but never knew the actual basics of everything until I watched this video. It is helping me get my sticks flowing again. You explain everything so well and you are also enjoyable to listen to and watch. Thank you for all of this.

Thanks for this - never seen the essentials explained so well. I'm a guitarist who's recently been trying to learn Cubase (DAW) to record and create some tracks. Got myself a Midi controller with pads to try and get some basic rhythms going - this collection has been fantastic at getting a feel for the different beats and to actually tap them out rather than rely on programming them. In just a couple of hours I've improved so much.

Literally bought a drum kit because I saw one of your videos. Always wanted to play them, but as a songwriter it made more sense to play stringed instruments... but yeah, drumming has always felt daunting, but your approach to teaching had me learning even without a kit in front of me, so I though what the hell. Thank you, and please keep on doing what you do!

What do Harry Potter and Emma have in common? They live under the stairs and wave wooden wands!😂 Found these very helpful. Question: Why do I have days where I just can't get comfy behind the kit? Usually play offset facing left then the next day I have to move everything to sit square on, then repeat... 😂 Also my Pearl Demon XR Double pedals always leave my hi-hat feeling like it's in the wrong place? Ok that's two questions, But you're a wizard Harry!
