This is a great little plane, so portable and well within the 250gm. limit, I fly mine in the UK on the south Cotswold hills, so don't get such good weather to fly this time of year - so it's great to watch your video flying in the desert over there.Only issue I have had is loose canopy so just pop an elastic band around for security.😊

I know it’s 5 years later, but I thought you did a great review. And even with the crash, you mostly flew like an old pro. I’ve got a bigger glider but this one looks to be better in a smaller park. Right now I have to drive 7 miles. Park is just across the street. Thanks for the review!

There are a lot of fixed wing pilots who don't fpv but fly these line of sight only so it is a lot of fun. They are more stable than multirotors and they are also good trainers to fly acro line of sight.

LMAO "You ol' fart" you are having too much fun!! cluck, cluck, cluck .. and you are chicken too rofl !! Great video as usual and you know I am pulling your leg. I gotta get me one of those now, and I have a basement full of them but not quite like this for a small park and just fly and thermal all day long.. If I was down there I would show you how to look for thermals, but if you get more time flying you will learn it. With something that light, and on a hot day, a huge thermal could suck it up so fast you could lose it, so think about that lol.. I have even had huge 11 foot gliders get sucked up into the clouds. I am sure this little thing can do loops and rolls easily in mode 3 free style. To do your loop take it up high and then into a dive and then quick up and over all in one motion LOL.. ha ha I am still smiling. You made my day ha ha ... For sure Happy Flying !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

An interesting unit Pete. One thing though. You say pulling the sticks down & out sets the gyros. The Amazon listing gives a fairly good run down on the Return To Home feature. It makes it seem as if that is the equivalent of setting the Headless Direction in a quadcopter. Then the RTH button makes the plane fly backwards along (or parallel to) the set headless line. Could you check this for us please. IE Set up the RTH feature with the plane facing North, take off & fly East, next turn the aircraft South, then hit the RTH button and see which way the plane flies.Thanks in advance mate.

theoztreecrasher Yes it does. Watch the end of the video :)
@theoztreecrasher26475 жыл бұрын
@@RCEscape Yes Pete I had watched the whole video - including the section from 20.30 to 22.45 where you flew the plane away from you mostly in only 1 direction before hitting the "one-key return switch" (normally the bottom throttle trim button.) However you did not show the actual "One-key Return Activation" process or even mention what direction you had the plane pointing when you "Place your plane heading to the take-off direction." :) So without doing the requested test it is not clear to a mentally deteriorating old foggie like yours truly whether the One-key Return Function just makes the plane do a 180 degree turn from its current flight path, or makes it turn to fly backwards along a set "headless Direction" or even magically makes it fly towards its remembered take-off point! ;-) Sorry to belabor the point but please be kind to us lowest common denominator old dumbos who can't even figure out how to copy & paste here that blurb from the Amazon listing. Also I see that Quadcopter 101 was no more lucid in his run through the same feature on the VolantexRc v761-3. So a chance to go one up on the old fellah. ;-)

@@theoztreecrasher2647 One key activation @5:10
@theoztreecrasher26475 жыл бұрын
@@RCEscape My sincere apologies Pete. Must have missed the activation sequence during a short toilet break - a weak bladder being another joy of advancing years along with deteriorating mental faculties. You didn't try the OKR on that first flight nor show the required re-activation and set direction before the second flight where you did try it several times after flying mostly in 1 general direction. I presume that the plane was pointed in that general direction at set-up? Because of the wide looping turns the plane requires and the need for you to cancel out of the return fairly quickly before the aircraft could get behind you it is hard to judge how accurate the return was. It certainly doesn't bear comparison to even an el-cheapo quad.

Another request for a check Pete. I have a Volantrex V761-1 Trainstar which reacts oddly to loss of Tx signal. If you turn off the Tx when you have the motor running it goes to flat out (ie bye bye plane) EXCEPT that if you have rudder/elevator input when killing the Tx the motor shuts down. Another poster on RC Groups Forums has said his 761-1 always shuts down the motor on signal loss but his 761-3 goes to full throttle (regardless of stick input) whilst a third poster says his old 761-1 kills motor but goes into gyro controlled glide until it meets distant trees. How does this 761-2 Ranger 600 react?
@jeffreyhall6345 Жыл бұрын
My ranger shuts motor down if Tx is turned off.
@theoztreecrasher2647 Жыл бұрын
@@jeffreyhall6345 Yep. The no-failsafe with all the Volantex V761 series planes was fixed for all later-sold units about the time that Banggood started selling the re-branded V761 Mini Warbirds. The original Volantex-sold Mini P-51 Mustang still had no motor failsafe but the first Banggood-sold P-51 Mini Warbird arrived with full motor failsafe.

rudder should be on the Left stick. which would be Normal, mode2 radio configuration. the model will turn in response to rudder inputs because is has a dihedral main wing. and, tx Rudder controls should Not be abnormally configured. googletranslate

My plane keeps nosing diving when thrown, seems like the elevator won’t move that way only down. Any ideas?
@brianu333 жыл бұрын
@Carson VanLieu on beginner mode the elevator to go up in the air does not move. In the beginning of your video did you throw it or just pin throttle and let go. Mine goes straight to ground even if someone else throws it for me.
@theoztreecrasher26473 жыл бұрын
@@brianu33 A Check if your elevator moves correctly B Before you fly always check that the aircraft responds the correct way to both stick controls and under the influence of the gyros. You should note that these use the unusual Volantex system whereby you can reverse the direction of the servo controls of the flying surfaces by the following procedure.... 1 Turn on transmitter with throttle at 0. 2 Plug in plane battery and sit it down level until the plane binds and the gyros initiate. 3 BEFORE you arm the motor (with throttle full up then full down) hold stick controlling the reversed servo hard over for about 3 seconds. There will be a beep and the surface will give a flick. Release the stick and the servo will be correct. 4 Arm the motor and the servo direction will be fixed. Just make sure you don't accidently reverse anything again before you arm the motor each time! NOTE that all V761 planes will allow this reversing - BUT ONLY with the Tx supplied with the earlier planes. IE the 1 where you have to push in at the top/bottom of the trim buttons to adjust the trims. The Tx shipped lately with the Eachine etc re-branded Mini Warbirds has slide up/slide down trim switches and will not allow this reversing procedure.
