Hey Jim, I usually fish for wild trout but I was gonna get some flys for a creek near my house for stockers! What do you have luck on? Thanks.

Use the same you would use for the wild trout. If the fish are freshly stocked I would use more underwater flies.

Sir. How long do you soak the peacock quill and what do you soak it in? Thank you.

Warm or hot water 5 minutes until it is good, but then I leave them soaking the whole session.

Jim, Since the peacock eye quills are hard to find, what could one substitute? I can't seem to get the light quill from my peacock eyes. Only dark ones. Any suggestions?

+Arkansas Red Peacock eyes should be easy to get. Any fly shop should have them. You can use the striped herl, or buy Polish quills.
