Is the 7 day free trial the only free plan. It doesn't let me in unless I pick a plan. I saw no start drawing button. . If that's the case fine, but just wanted to check if there was some limited free plan available. I agree with you about the subscriptions, I currently am only paying for $30 with MJ. I guess you play around for 7 days and then you're cut off until you pick an option. At that time I could use your coupon, correct? Thanks for all the interesting apps you track down.

I don't think this is the best tool for thumbnails with text. Personally, I think you're better off to generate the image and then overlay the text to get exactly what you want and where you want it.

I too like a lifetime plan, but I wish there was a way to try it out before buying it, to make sure it will do what I need. How is it with consistent characters? I make comics (not anime), so I am curious if you have tried that. Thanks for the review!

Perfectly? I can't say I've seen any platform or model create hands and fingers perfectly without fail. I mostly used the Nova Flux model in ArtSpace and I felt like it was doing as well as Flux does with hands in other platforms, which is overall pretty good... but I don't think anything's perfect.

Why are there ZERO non-affiliate, paid promo "reviews" of this app? And the lifetime deal's end date counter has been counting down for 6+ months. Not suspect at all ... LOL

That's a completely fair question and reasonable suspicion! I can't speak for anyone else or to the fact that there are or are not review videos out there from non-affiliates (but I believe you.) For me, I didn't know this platform existed until the guy that created it contacted me and asked if I would check it out, told me about the lifetime deal, and told me there was an affiliate program. So, I played with it a bit and knowing there are folks who don't like subscription models, I thought some people would like it, so I made a video about it. Indeed, I make a commission when someone buys it, and I don't try to hide that. I'm trying to feed a family here too, so getting a commission when someone buys something that I told them about doesn't seem like an awful thing. But, as an affiliate, I'm probably biased in favor of the thing I'm talking about. And I think that's your point, which I totally respect and agree with. I try to be fair, even when I'm an affiliate for something, but I'm sure the relationship influences me in some ways that are beyond my conscious objectivity. As for the fake countdown timers... I really don't like those and in almost every video I've made where I see one, I often mention that it may or may not be 'accurate'. So many mainstream products and platforms use that trick these days... And I wish they all would stop.

I really appreciate your honestly, and for that alone, I think that if I do actually sign up (I'm kinda leaning towards it after watching your review), I'll definitely use your affiliate link. Just need to figure out which LTD to get. Any recommendations for a beginner who probably won't be using it on a "fulltime" basis? I'm thinking the entry plan, but worried I may run out of "credits" while I'm learning how to use it (testing, I'm assuming, will eat up a lot of those credits"). Any thoughts?

You're absolutely right that you'll burn through credits figuring things out, and AI will get things wrong even when you do everything "right." But, I still think the cheapest deal will be enough. Particularly because Artspace only lets you have one generation going at a time. So, it's not like you can type a prompt, hit generate, and immediately try a different version or different settings. You have to wait until the first one generates to submit the next. The upside of that is you won't burn through a whole bunch of credits really fast like you could if it would let you submit generations as fast as you could type. Also, you might find yourself wanting to explore other tools, platforms, and models. For me, if I had sunk a ton of money into this one platform I might feel like I'm stuck and shouldn't be exploring anything else, ever. But, on the cheaper end, I wouldn't have heartburn even if it became just one of several tools I use at some point down the road. (Just from my personal experience) And, if money is an issue, there are places you can generate awesome images for free (each with their own limitations) or platforms that let you generate on a pay per use basis for anywhere from less than a penny each to maybe 10 cents an image. Those platforms can be a little overwhelming and lack some creature comforts though. Everything has its pros and cons. And a pro to one person might be a con to another. But, this generative AI stuff is so much fun, and changing so quickly, we don't have to be stuck on the frustrations of one platform. P.S. I'd love to see what you create. Hopefully you get the affiliate link credit for it - more importantly, I definitely need to work on my prompts since most of my first test images are generally terrible. LOL. And yea, I've burned through almost 90 credits in a day. At this rate, I'll hit that 1000 limit before the end of the month for sure.

Lifetime memberships are a scam. Companies like this need constant income to improve and update their products. They rather take your large amount upfront. Dont fall for it. Do monthly. You can always leave.

I don't necessarily think ALL lifetime deals are scams. I completely see your point about the need for ongoing income and that makes me skeptical of lifetime deals in general. ArtSpace has a subscription model, which I guess is their primary model, and offers the lifetime deal as a promotion. But, hey, even though I try to do my research and find out as much as I can, I don't know the founder personally and encourage you to go with your gut and experience.

You're absolutely right. I think the lifetime in a lifetime deal is referring to the lifetime of the service... Which might be much shorter than ours. 😉

@@excelerator I hate to sound like a pessimist, but those lifetime deals feel more like "Enjoy while it lasts". I've seen even services with paid plans to go bankrupt after about a year or two, so if you see a service with a good yearly plan, go for it, because chances are one year is the longest the service could last anyway lol.

Sounds really good...until they have to continue to update with whatever money is on hand instead of new customers bringing in revenue. It'll either change into a subscription, or fold all together. And the way the market is fast becoming oversaturated as it is. I'm betting they will go the way of the tech bubble soon. It'll be a hard pass for me.

I totally respect your decision and opinion. Like I said, my first question was about the sustainability of a lifetime deal with ongoing cost. They have some members on a subscription and some on the lifetime deal, so cash flow isn't limited to lifetime signups. It's not uncommon for apps to offer a lifetime deal for a period of time to boost interest and awareness. As for longevity, you could be right. Hard to say which platforms will be around long term. Is it possible to mix the ai picture with Photos? For example, to take a photo (me) and put in a ai created nature background so it seems, I am really there? Thanks

Absolutely. In Artspace, the best approach would probably be to upload the image of you, click the "magic" button, then 'remove background.' Whatever was in the background will be gone. Now move the artbox over your image (or over a transparent part of your image, if your image is bigger than artbox) and describe what you want in the prompt box. ArtSpace will generate in the empty area that's within the artbox.

I don't think it's so they can go carte blanche on your CC and just charge whatever. But, the strategy is undoubtedly that by putting the responsibility on the user to cancel or be charged, more users end up being paying customers by simply forgetting to take that action to cancel.

So I just want to let you, and others, know how shady the creators of this platform are. I've been trying to make some inquiries about features for their app, and I did so on their facebook group because I figured other people might want to know and they might have similar questions. I asked twice, and both time my post got denied (I literally just asked about about two things - shortcuts and a search feature). I then made a comment on a contributor (seems like only a handful of people actually contribute on that group) makes his images look the way they do because mine always come out looking super fake and plastic, nothing similar to what you can do with midjourney. .... and they deleted me from the group. How the f is anyone supposed to learn if the f'n devs can answer questions on a public forum. I am SO upset I dropped money on this stupid app. Something tells me they won't me either. What a sham. I should have trusted my instincts.
