There are plenty of videos step by step… look up wainscoting. I have it in my house and 2 things to be aware of… the edges of the trim collect dust and need regular dusting. Takes longer to paint especially if your wall is green or grey or some other solid color… And you decide to keep the trim (wainscoting) white. It is a beautiful look but it does have maintenance.

It's beautiful! I wonder how to get the nice 45° cuts without the fancy saw. Id like to get tips for using an old fashioned hand saw or something cheap. All this type of videos show expensive machines we don't have.

Just get a plastic mitre box for your saw to cut the angles

There are also scissors especially for this use on the market. Look them up, I think they're called miter scissors 😊

The wall was already painted before I installed the trim. I repainted after - two coats on the untreated trim and one coat on the rest of the wall

For LVP floors, you need to leave some gap between floor and baseboards, so that Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring can expand and contrast during weather changes.
