I'm sorry< but what kind of stitch did u use on the waist seam? Bc if u used just the straight stitch, it's gonna rip so fast bc of the stretchy fabric. Unless your machine is the chain stitch one, then it's okay, but i feel like u should have addressed that anyway, bc not everyone has an industrial chain stitch machine, and not everyone knows what stitch to use for stretchy fabrics on a domestic machine. The dress is very cute tho!

You’re completely right! I should have addressed this: the easiest would obviously be a zigzag but I used a straight stitch with a small stitch length which makes it durable for stretching a bit. Then a third option would be stretchy thread. Thanks for letting me know!!

Hi Kachi, I have made circular skirts with non stretchy fabrics and I always hang them after cutting because some parts tend to get uneven on the hem. In stretch fabrics this isn't necessary? Thanks for sharing your knowledge, love your designs!
