Beginner Friendly Snow Hike to Dirty Harrys Balcony 2022

Let's check out another beginner friendly snow hike at Dirty Harrys Balcony! If you've never done a snow hike before and looking to try it out, Dirty Harrys Balcony is a good place to explore and learn!
Dirty Harrys Balcony is about a 4.4 mile RT hike with an approximate elevation gain of 1600ft. It should take the average hiker about 2 hours to get to the balcony point from the parking lot trailhead.

You will need a Discover Pass to park in the parking area. They also have bathroom stalls located in the parking area that was open to us during the winter seasons.
Some other notable features about Dirty Harrys Balcony is that it also has natural rock-climbing destination spots for those of you who like to rock climb!

I've never had the opportunity to check them out before, but looking at the set-up, they already have some anchor points in place and all you have to do is bring the energy, the will, and the skills.
As far as equipment, you'll most likely just need some micro spikes for the hike (depending on current weather conditions). Some decent hiking poles can help you ascend/ descend the mountain, but otherwise you wont really need them that much (unless you plan on doing Dirty Harrys Peak!)
