Hi, this is indeed a great video! However, may i know what software do you use to make the drum notes/score? :) Your reply is much appreciated!

There's a simple way to vastly improve your dynamic feel that a great teacher in Detroit taught me a long time ago.. he insisted I play nothing but notes between these dynamics for two weeks on my pad and my kit----- PPP-P, that was all I was allowed to work with and boy did that alter my playing in a super good way--- try it today, I still do this occasionally for several days at a time ----
@kackaurban60283 жыл бұрын
Can you describe any further what's PPP-P please? I'm still not very familiar with those terms haha
@ambroulard3 жыл бұрын
@@kackaurban6028 Piano to Pianissimo are dynamic markers-. P which is piano is very quiet with each added p indicating the note or notes are played even more quietly.

I always assumed that ghost notes were those kind of skipped notes like what he does in that opening piece he plays. What are those called?
@angieedwards972010 ай бұрын
When I was dropping the stick low, my notes were still too low for it to be more felt then heard. I was taught a ghost note is more it an upstroke tap. Anyone have any comments or clarification on this? Was I just dropping too high? Should there be more control with the stick to tap rather than drop? Does it not really matter as long as the note is ghosty? 👻

Playing with traditional hand gives me way more control so I can play ghost notes gracefully like they are ment to be but its difficult to play fast. Thats the reason jazz drummers play with traditional and metal drjmers play with matched.
