Had no Idea what happened too Phil, he was liturally one the most gifted musicains of my time. Then suddenly in the early 1992-94 dropped out. Had no idea.

Phil's a tap dancer.... Anyone remember his little silly tap routine at the end of the "I Can't Dance" video? So fun! So silly! Gosh, they all looked like they had fun together!

Never got a chance to meet Phil but that Brand X music just slayed me. So like many others, I took pause when Mr. Collin’s came to the front of the stage and conquered the music world. I understand it now. Sheer brilliance! Phil always worked with the best and you can hear the resonance they shared in the music.

While all the divorced Yuppies were ragging on Phil, tired of his face, his voice, my generation was waiting in the wings to pick up the torch of fandom. The Millennials who grew up with the breadth and depth of Phil's music all over radio, tv, and movies.... WE loved him the whole time. When a dejected Phil took a step back from being everywhere in the late 90's and beginning of the 2000's, we were wishing he hadn't. When Genesis toured again in 2007, we were too broke and young to go see them. We thought we'd missed our chance. By the time he toured in 2018, we were delighted that we would finally get to witness him live. He was past his prime, but still working hard, owning the stage, and singing well. I absolutely cried at that Phil show. Phil's music helped humanize my parents to me. Helped me understand how grownup relationships don't always work out, and sometimes it makes no sense. Mature struggles, emotional turmoil, muddling theough life somehow despite it all, amking music anyway... I absorbed that lesson as an 8-12 year old. A decade later, I dove into the deep end of their music and never looked back. At age 9 I remember telling my mom that Phil Collins was my idol. She stifled her chuckle....

I spend admittedly too much time complaining about the artists that I never got to see. But I'm forever grateful that I got to see Phil Collins in concert twice.

This documentary definitely needs to be submitted for all the award shows. This is Oscar caliber. Great job Drumeo team.

Phil Collins is the drummer that made me want to play drums. As of today, I play drums for 45 years, I've played many gigs with a Genesis tribute band, I had the luck to see him perform on stage with Genesis, and I still very much enjoy Genesis' music. As for many musicians out there, he had a huge impact on me as a drummer and I am forever grateful for the inspiration.

Phil’s autobiography from 2016 is funny, candid, and fascinating, but this deep dive into his place in history as a percussionist is a terrific companion piece. Thanks for making this available for free. I’m always so fascinated that even after recording demos for trick of the tail, Phil was still hoping they would find another singer. He may view himself as a drummer who sings, but his vocal performance on that album is one of my all-time favorites.
