Roller bearings, there's a few kinds, but they are mounted in a metal housing in this case. Don't get the plastic ones for obvious reasons.

That's pretty ingenious but since it's for lampwork is wood the best material to use?

These don't go in the flame. They don't get hot like metal ones. Wood is used a lot in this hobby.

What are the big handle ?
@jasmine25018 ай бұрын
They are just threaded knobs from Ace Hardware. I have found that I don't really adjust the height very often.

What a brilliant idea! What is the roller part called? That the glass rod rests on while you're spinning?
@jasmine25014 жыл бұрын
Roller bearings, they are in the back in Harbor Freight, but Ace is the best bet for all these parts in one place.

I got it at Harbor Freight, I think they are called metal casters. They are very common, but home improvement stores aren't hardware stores.

What’s the largest diameter tube you can use on it

I don't use anything bigger than 30mm, but if you made the V more shallow, it would work on really big pipes. If the top of the ball sticks up, it would work for any size.
