I was trained before these and always used a douzieme gauge which I still have. Its good enough for milling stuff to about 0.05 mm

Could you put how to use calipers to measure a ring size, and the correct way to measure it. I know it the inside diameter, the width of what you were using such a silver, and , the thickness of the silver that you are usingThen divided by 3.14 equals the length do you need to cut your sheet silver to make the correct size of the ring.

Thanks, just one point, don’t buy very cheap un named callipers eg under about £27 in UK. You will not get accuracy. A little more gets you a good set equally no need to spend £100.
