Bringing it back to basics with this super quick tutorial for the move called the "wedgie" (:
PLEASE NOTE: it's best to learn all tricks on both sides so try it out with opposite legs as well!!!
Feel free to leave questions or requests for new tutorials in the comments.

So I've been practicing like crazy during our national lockdown in South Africa, but the wedgie is one move I'm just not nailing. I'm so excited to take your tutorials and try it out again tomorrow. I was wondering though, if the size of my hoop may be hampering my success? I'm currently using a 36" hoop.

i've also got the same issue! i wonder if my 36'' is whats making it difficult to wedgie. it keeps hitting the floor and stopping momentum so it gets really frustrating :/. have you succeeded since?

@@Lynnethevillain I have actually managed to nail it! YAAAY! Massive celebration was had that day! I was reeeeally struggling with my 36", but did eventually manage a wedgie. I've since made myself more hoops in different sizes, and personally I feel that my 32" made a wedgie muuuuuch easier! I think the bigger size definitely hampers learning a wedgie. I've also been reading and watching loads on hooping, and I've learnt that smaller hoops are ideal for off-body tricks, with bigger hoops being better for on-body hooping, but also better initially for learning new tricks (although in the case of the wedgie I feel it was harder!). In the end though, hoop size is all about personal preference!
