My favorite drill is the first one you demonstrated.The face punch and the lunge reverse punch with the hip twist one. I am starting karate after a long gap and I want to take it slow.

So much fun, right! Good for you for starting again. Listen to your body, for sure. Good luck with your training!

It was never intentional, I swear. Lol. Accidents happen. Men: always wear a cup.

Hi I just found your channel and this drill is so where I am at the moment as a beginner. We are being taught this drill as a fast way to cover distance but then what Sensie always says is see this coming and once your partner commits its a freight train and get off the track so that the opponent goes by and its a mid block and a high punch in return. Have you ever thought of the demos at different levels, you are fast so a partner would respond fast. Awesome channel. Mike

The alternate title for this video must be "Sabrina vs Unicorn Kumite Drills". Love the trick of the band!

Does that work for you? Seems like you'd get countered on the extra step between the backfist and reverse punch.
@TheKarateShrimp Жыл бұрын
It works. The jab is a distraction. They react to that, meanwhile you get them with the reverse punch. Thanks for watching. 🙏

Question of the Day ⚡ What is your favourite sparring drill? ➡️ Comment below! 👇👇👇
@JOHNNY-zx1lc2 жыл бұрын
It's a shuffle 1,2. You should push off the bk foot but not bring the feet together just halfway and stay on the same height and also recover bringing back the arm.

Oh, I see, you practise Meibukan Goju - yes you said that clearly but now I recognise the logo of Sensei(s) Meitatsu and Akihito Yagi, two of my favourites Goju masters - together with Sensei Higaonna, of course. I can see better the foundations of your technique... Ok, I'm intrigued...
