It's never too late! I started ballet and lyrical at 13 (and I was self taught) and with hard work and pushing myself past my limits I am 18 and very flexible, can do many wonky things with my legs, and still learning. I believe in you!

As a professional elite competitive dancer, I would just like to say that skills are not everything when it comes to dance, it’s the passion and effort you put in it. I have been dancing for 8-9 years and I still cannot split normally, let alone any leaps or positions and I still win my competitions. So for everyone who is thinking you are not good enough to dance, 1. My lovely you should always give it a go as it is never too late 2. Dance takes time and passion, you will not get skills straight away wether it takes you years or a matter of minutes, the time will come when your body is ready.

Im 12 and i started whenever I was about 3. rememver that lyrical is like a mixture of ballet and jazz, skills will be helpful, but remember, as long as you put 110% effort you will do amazing, im not the best lyrical dancer at my studio but I work hard that’s all you need to be good at. (: p.s. you don’t have to do all that fancy stuff, people will make sure you know it!

Can you please do a little more advanced lyrical routine? I want to try out for a Solo at my studio, but when I make up choreo I end up doing the same thing like 5 times 😂. (We have to make up our own number for solo or duet tryouts)
