I also feel cringe when a MUA grab on client’s head when they apply makeup. And you are right as MUA that self learned, they need to take some lessons from a professional Makeup Artist class, since they will get Do& Don’t when we are working on clients. Great video, girl..❤️

I want to share a story, I had a photoshoot last February. There was another MUA, while I carried 4 heavy bags & she just carried a lunch box. I was wow, and wondered how. Turned out she didn’t bring any brushes, not even skin prep, cotton tips, disposables, not even tissue! She literally just brought a makeup pallet, 1 shade of foundation! Turned out she never had a photoshoot before, never work on clients. That’s why I’m so agree why a self thought MUA need to learn in professional MUA class.
@julieruby3 жыл бұрын
@@citramousquita3812 WOW! I’m guessing she probably just brought whatever makeup she used on herself and thought that would work! How did she end up doing??
@citramousquita38123 жыл бұрын
1st she asked me to borrow my brushes & I had to ask no, how come you go to a war without bring your weapons?! Then she ended up using client’s brushes, cotton pads, tissues.
@citramousquita38123 жыл бұрын
The reason I didn’t let her to borrow my brushes was because, we had to 3 models, so let say if she used 10 brushes for each model it means I have to wash another 30 brushes at home then 😱🔫. And what if 1 of my brush lose without she realised. You know how chaotic sometimes before the photoshoot. And how she ended up borrow client’s stuffs was because we were at client’s place.

100% agree on training! I’m not certified but I had some one on one training with Pro MUA for about a month, so I’m fairly new at this. I watched your previous video about affordable starter makeup kit, the kit doesn’t make you better, but work on techniques and makeup skill itself. Thank you so much for making awesome videos. Definitely, super helpful for new MUAs like myself :)

Hi Julie! Thanks for all your videos ! They are so helpful! I was wondering if you could do a video on how to pick eyeshadow combinations to do a look. I struggle to plan out the eye look and what colors would go together. Can you also do a video on how to remove makeup mistakes. Like if you mess up liner what would be your tip on removing it/ correcting it without messing up other makeup ? Thanks!!
@julieruby2 жыл бұрын
Hi thank you so much! I’m really glad you’re loving all the content :) For eyeshadow combos, I mostly just have them show me reference photos and also ask about their wedding colors as well. From there i just consult with them about their makeup preferences and choose colors based upon those things. Ooo makeup mistakes would be a great idea! Thanks so much for that suggestion :)

Julie ive been binge watching your videos getting ready to do a bridal party of 6. Im fairly new in the game. Can you PLEASE do a video on how you choose eyeshadow colors/combination for each person in the party (if they all want different things) please help me🥺🥺🥺🥺
@julieruby3 жыл бұрын
Usually I'll go by the wedding colors or bridesmaid dresses to determine color palettes! I would stick around the same color family (ex: brown/champagne), but you can make some looks lighter/darker, do a winged liner on one person, do a more smoky look on another. You still want to keep the looks uniform, but not so similar that they can't be distinguished from each other. Does that make sense? To be honest though, most bridesmaids don't care what I do on them and leave it up to me :)

@@julieruby Thanks Julie. I'm going to plan to make my makeup cheap and affordable to where people can buy it. I've already got a name for my cosmetic line. My middle name is Maebelle.
