I watched this video after naturally incorporating some plane exercises into my drills. I'm finding it's helping me get my ambidexterity underway. My left hand is really struggling to keep up with my right and playing with planes seems to be helping! I'm going to start incorporating the second drill you introduced, walking around the plane. I think that would also be fun to work into a dance session too

I think you're absolutely correct about not hammering plane control into the minds of beginners. When I first started all I cared about was learning a trick. One trick then two and then three and before I knew it learning plane control was a must, and bc I had already learned so much and had officially became obsessed it was a pleasure to learn rather than feeling like a boring lesson with no payoff!

I would really love to see you do a tutorial going through the different styles of plane breaking from G

If you are bored one day, maybe consider doing a tutorial on "toroid plane," as seen around 5:10 in the above; how to get in and out of it, how to be in it, and what to do with it while you are there... never hoid a it, and it looks intriguing!

I really like your drill about walking around a single plane perpendicular to the floor. I learned a similar routine where I spun a poi very very close to a wall without touching it. I was able to slow down and develop the muscle memory to keep a nice clean, crisp plane - as I ventured away from the and back to my free flow, I found the cleanliness remained, until I didn't need my "wall" anymore. I do like your method, though, since you can walk around it - I'll add it to my warm up and drill days.

What would it be called if someone did wall plane with one hand and horizontal plane with the other at the same time?

Those tips seem really helpful! Especially since every plane i try go into seems to end up diagonal lol 😭

Also i think just like with planes - i didnt think to ask about them even though i know theyre important but you provided a lot of good information and exercises as well. Im not sure id know what to ask you to talk about but i do find this type of video was very informative!
