Well a pretty good story. It's certainly happened to me before as well. Ya - by memory and I wouldn't tie a dozen - except it's what I've done. I don't really trust a streamer or a wet fly. Well except my one in Alaska and what I've done for Chum Salmon. Now I love the dry fly version of The Professor Fly - and I've used it with success at Tiffany Lake - 7000 foot elevation in Washington State - Okanogan County. Great job you are doing on your channel. : )

I tie this with a black rib - but not many - well and because I had too many different flies to tie and I really just went to my same old place. Now I don't even know why this is a special fly - well I think it has something to do with my cousin - who taught me to fish. We were always catching bees to use as fishing bait. Oh ya we were poor - but our childhood was special. : )

Makes now wonder what do many details;s mean on so many patterns. I'm starting to think that fish grab whatever takes there fancy in the moment. Love your series by the way. :-)

If they're in the mood, they'll take your car keys. :) I have found though that colour can make a difference. Fishing for smallies with an olive twitch fly and had zero hits. Switched to chartreuse in the same pattern and immediately began to catch fish. Sometimes it matters.

@@hooked4lifeca Thanks for the reply. I'm in Australia. Fishing for trout is a struggle at the moment. But yes, here they seem to grab anything if they are ni the mood. Other times they wont; e look at a lovingly tied fly. but will grab any old junk on a spinning rod! : I'm enjoying your new videos. :-)
