I completed all my squares and now I'm ready to connect them but I'm struggling to follow along with your video. I feel as though you didn't demonstrate how to connect the squares once you get to the end of the square. You only demonstrate the first two squares and then you jumped to all of your squares being connected. For me it's very confusing and I want to learn the correct way. I've reread your instructions but it's still very unclear and I learn by watching. Can you or someone please give me some pointers in connecting my squares. Thank you

I'm sure it is! In the extra space you can do the 2 sc instead of 2 hdc sc, sc 2 hdc. I would do 2 hdc (in one space), 2 sc (in the next space) and 2 hdc and in the next space. Only for one group of stitches, that way you use the extra space you have. It might look funny for the first wound of the square, but the second round should make it look better. Try and let me know! I hope it makes sense :)

I’m making this blanket as well but I have a question: for the 5th row you say it had to be 64sts but as I’m doing step by step I only get to 57, how/where do the other sts go???? Also in the diagram in IG I believe I only counted 52sts in the 5th row, am I missing anything?? Please help 🙏🏻
@savannahnorman94375 ай бұрын
I’m having this same problem- i come out to 56 every single time. (With 14 on each side). Idk why I’m missing so many but it looks right to me. I think as long as every square has 56 is probably doesn’t matter as long as they’re the same
@tiffanyskinner54425 ай бұрын
I'm in the same boat as both of you! I THINK there is a small wording error in the pattern and in her video. If you read the pattern it says on the prior round that there are 48 stitches counting the chain 2 in each corner. I think this round is 64 stitches total counting the chain 2. I've re-done these rounds several times and there is just no way to have 64 double crochets haha. So I think it's 56 double crochet plus the chain 2 spaces in each corner to total 64 stitches. 😊😊

@tobywicks66702 ай бұрын
I had this problem yesterday! If you read the pattern, she counts the chains in the corners as a stitch. You should have 10 double crochets on each side plus the corners on top of that! Hopefully that helps!

I’m confused why you said you already chained 1 at the very beginning when chaining 3 after the magic circle… I’m a beginner so sometimes the terms confuse me, but I didn’t see you chain 1, so it looks like you’ve only chained 2. Now i’m confused on if i’m chaining 3 after the magic ring or if the end of the magic ring counts as 1 chain so then you only do 2 more… Someone help! 😅
@terryech91105 ай бұрын
You are right. The first chain was the one that she made to lock in the magic ring. Then she just chained two more to make a total of three chains.
