Hello, Thank you for all the tutorials Im learning alot. however I do have a problem , when I try to add the buckle OBJ as an avatar it says: 'Arrangement Points were not fitted to the avatar. The avatar must be in a T-pose or A-pose.' Then again 'Fitting Suit cannot be created. The avatar must be in a T-pose or A-pose.' And it never loads the buckle. Do you know why this is happening?

I can't see topstiches in binding when I simulate. However when I stop the simulate I can see my topstiches. I already try to copy all your configuration and follow your steps.
@CLO3D
@CLO3D 4 жыл бұрын
When simulation is ON top stitches hide/do not show. This is normal and developed this way on purpose. The default topstitches are very small .OBJs that do have geometry, any extra geometry can affect simulation speed so they deactivate and are not shown when simulation is on. This allows simulation to run faster.

HI there, at 3:40 you used free sewing to join the zipper teeth pattern to the body, however after i create the sewing direction on the zipper teeth pattern i am unable to click on the pattern for the body. I ended up using segment sewing instead, however what may have been the cause of the issue for the free sewing not to work?
@CLO3D
@CLO3D 11 ай бұрын
Hi. For Free Sewing you must click to start the sewing and click to end the Sewing on the first patter piece (zipper). This will complete the first sewing section. Then follow the same path on the body pattern with a click to start and a click to end. So Free Sewing will have a total of 4 clicks. It is likely you did not click to complete the first part of the sewing so it would not allow you to go to the other pattern piece

Is there a way for the buckle to move with the simulation (like the buttons)? I'm using marvelous designer and can't figure a way to have my buckle moving and following the movements of the belt, it just stay suspended in the air.

Very clear and precise. Real good video. I have always wondered how you use the snaps buttons? Is it the same than other buttons? Because they don't have buttonholes... How do you make them close together?
@CLO3D
@CLO3D 3 жыл бұрын
The 2 parts of the snaps do not actually connect to each other. You can add a very small button hole behind the one side of the snap and connect the other one to that.

hi how do i attatch my Trim to Avatar,like you said in video you Should import Trim as Avatar so it can Collide with Garments,but how do i attatch this if my Original avatar moves.
@CLO3D
@CLO3D Жыл бұрын
Hi There. Trims need to be attached to a fabric/garment and not an avatar. If you bring the Trim in as an Avatar it will not move, but instead remain static. You can then use the gizmo to place the trim, but if the garment moves/animates the trim will not move. If you want the Trim to move with the avatar you will need to bring the item in as a trim and then "glue" into place.

I think the video skips some steps which isn't very good for a beginner tutorial. What if one has an extended button placket, how do you approximate the pattern on the 3D window

We would have to disagree as this workflow has been used, reviewed, updated over many years. It would be recommended to Offset Pattern Outline in the 2D Window.

I wanted to add a lining to the bra and then to the binding tape. But everything collided. Any idea how this works with binding tape? I did a separate version with cut&sewn taping with an internal offset line, but I am not sure whether this is the correct way to do it, pattern wise I mean. Because it will change the size of the pattern of the bra. However, it looked better than using the binding tape function. Do you have any idea? Thanks!

Any hardware options for Hoodie hole? or string?
@CLO3D
@CLO3D 4 жыл бұрын
If you go to Hardware & Trims> Cords & Cord Ends - There will be .zpac files that are cloth and can be sewn on. The .trm files are hard and can be glued on. The button tools have a Grommets built into the shape options, or you can make them as a topstitch finish as well.

I dont understand how on earth the binding tool is useful for drafting patterns, its just a visual change and doesnt reflect the pattern at all. It needs to create a binding strip so the sample maker can actually cut the binding strip to its appropriate length and then bind over the raw edges. With how it is now, its entirely performative
@CLO3D
@CLO3D 2 жыл бұрын
The binding tool is simply a way to create the visual representation of binding [as is the piping tool]. Both can be created with pattern pieces and sewn into place if desired.

my buttons keep being placed on the wrong side of the waistband! i place them on the right side on 2d window and when I simulate it puts them behind my waistband on the wrong side ... whats happening?
@CLO3D
@CLO3D 4 жыл бұрын
This is happening probably because the fabric of your waistband might be "inside out" - where the back of the fabric is actually facing outward. Buttons default to sit on the "face of the fabric" so if your fabric is flipped is makes them go inside because that is technically where the face of fabric is. You can fix this quickly with an option called "Flip Normal" . In the 3D window right click on the waistband (or any inside out piece) and choose "Flip normal" in the right click menu. This will then switch the face and back sides. You may have to unfasten>re-set? and then re-fasten your button again, but this should fix it. Disclaimer about Flip Normal Tool : This is something to use sparingly for situations where a lot of the work has been completed and not too much more sewing or assembly will occur. The reason is because when you flip this piece in 3D it also flips in 2D window - so if you check your sewing after that will also look "flipped". This is all OK just be aware that he piece also filliped in 2D if you plan to do more assemble or sewing. It is generally best practice to make sure all pieces face correct directing when arranging and sewing. You can check this by toggling to Textured Surface View (Vertical Toggle Display Menus 0:09:11) to see the backside of the fabric as grey to confirm which direction fabric face points. **When Arrangement points are used they automatically place face of fabric outward so you don't have to worry too much about this. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q3PWo4eMipybbJI
