Great vids, can you make one about tips for southpaws? I’m newer and struggle with applying certain tactics. Thanks!

Fellow southpaw here-get really good getting outside foot position and throw lots of right hands + right kick using your lead hand to probe, frame, and judge distance. Practice enough and You can fight southpaws using only your right side

@ thanks man I feel like my left hand can never connect

@ also are you talking about fighting southpaws or fighting orthodox? I’m almost never against other southpaws I’m okay with working the lead hand but getting the left to connect, especially hooks feels wonky

Yo bro im a southpaw too and. Literally trust it u will find lots of ways to to what u want. For me i find that left hand work on body if u are fast with good defence and 12 is very good also. Yk the thing connor mcrecor does with the fake and then he kinda leans back and throws the backhand to the head. So basically in open stance u need to make him miss the backhand to land a backhand and wacthout for the spinning shit😂😂@@Gulb180

@@Gulb180 I'm a south paw myself. The lead leg war for us South Paws are important. Get that lead leg on the outside foot position, and it lines up your cross perfectly. Depending on your reach, like this video says, you may have to enter in, throw that cross and combo it on the way out. I'm tall, so I use getting that outside foot position as my entry. The moment my lead (right) foot is on the outside of their lead (left foot), and I mean, RIGHT on the outside, like, their foot is directly to my left, I throw the cross, then do a Joe Lewis hop to a hooked rib shot, then depending on where they are defending, I'll either follow with a kick to the gut, or I'll just use boxing to combo out. I use my right jab and right teep to judge distance and keep them at bay, until I can win the lead foot war. Getting really good at landing outside thigh kicks with that right foot can paralyze an opponent. Also, get good at that left kick, your power kick. The more you use your lead foot kicks, the more the opponent expects it, the easier it is to stop. Then suddenly you throw that power left, and it can be lights out. The people I spar with are so used to me using my lead kicks, that the yoften don't expect the left and I can just spam that left kick over and over again when needed. Mostly, though, as a South Paw, it's about the Lead Leg War. Keep your lead foot outside of theirs, whether you are in range or not. When I enter in a combo, I make sure my leg foot is literally right outside theres, so even if they try to turn, they're running up against my foot, hoping to unbalance them. But I'm tall. And it's easy for me to get that position.

Excellent video as always, absolutely love it. The more 'abstract' approach to fighting is really helpful. By breaking up the engagement in 3 parts, and seeing the different options there really opens up a lot of possibilities instead of sticking to standard combinations. Kind of like lego for sparring ;)

Great video. I’ve never watched one that talks about the entry, combo then exit. Great job and thanks!

Hi Gabriel. Great video. Can you make one of how to move in a fight? Not the basic moves like moving to the left, etc. And how to move the head. My couch told me that you shouldn't slip if a punch isn't thrown. Then how do you move your head? And can you make a video of some openings and patterns that people make? so I can punish my partner. And also how to create openings or fake your strikes because I can convince my opponent. And how do you fight someone who is better than you?. How do you punch or kick without them noticing what you're about to do. How do you strike faster?. Thank you

Hello Gabriel, I have an LCL knee injury which I'm resting but I need to keep in shape and keep my mind in tact, do you have an upper body workout that doesn't involve too much leg movement. P.s. I'm no pro fighter just an Amateur/hobbyist. Thank you

Knee (and joint in general) injuries are nasty af... Best of luck recovering. Throwing in my 2c from experience: I think you can find plenty strength workouts online, upper body workouts require no legs mostly so you should be fine. The difficult is cardio and building back up strength in the joint, if you want to train cardio perhaps consider swimming. Depending on your swimming style you can reduce load or even completely negate using the legs, and still get a very good cardio workout. Additionally you could try to do boxing in the water. There's a reason why they let all those oldies do exercises in the water! Also to reduce joint loading.
