I'm watching this on day three of a fibromyalgia AND simultaneous IBS flare. I'm currently laying on the bathroom floor in the dark just watching relatable videos to feel less lonely and disheartened.

Im a fibro sufferer, on the severe end i guess with need of wheelchair etc, I also have pcos, migraines, suspected asthma, erythromelalgia, ptsd, anxiety and depression. Im here because I have bowel incontinence due to urgency undiagnosed, its a complete nightmare. Maybe one day I will know, as exams are clear.

Oh no, that sounds awful. I'm sorry. I hope you do figure out what is causing it cause I'm sure you'd prefer it to go away or be manageable at least. Sending you lots of gentle hugs 🤗

So sorry to hear that. Can I ask if something triggered it? And how it had developed over time? It sounds so severe 😮, hope you're doing well - especially during this Covid era.

I've had IBS since I was little and now I've been diagnosed with Fibro too. I think I have something more wrong with my connective tissue because the head of my fibula bone keeps popping out as well as other parts of my body like my jaw and toe and hip. But Ive got a start. Its hard to get much done with how everything is closed right now though. Thanks for all the info in this video. It would have been so helpful when I first was looking into IBS. This is perfect for beginners or just a touch up on making sure you what what's up with your body. I really appreciate you taking the time to do these videos and educate people. Sending lots of love! 💛🌻

Thank you so much for your comment. Sadly all those dislocations do sound like a connective tissue problem of some sort, I hope once life gets back to "normal" you can get more info into it and maybe a diagnosis to help you understand it and treat it better. It is hard, I am also in the process of a diagnosis for a respiratory problem and while the world stands still our symptoms do not. But I guess staying safe right now is the most important thing. Lots of gentle hugs to you 💖

@@olgachronics3273 Thank you so much. I hope you can get into the process of figuring more out soon too. We can get through it one day at a time. (:

I was recently diagnosed with IBS and its been hard because I'm terrified to poop anywhere but home or around anyone else, I was wondering if I should just force myself and just go in public or if they're steps I can take to make it easier? Sorry if its a weird question
@olgachronics32733 жыл бұрын
Not weird at all. I feel the same way. I have tried to go when in foreign places when I need to, so not force myself to hold it in, but most of the time I still will only go at home. It's not easy, you're not doing anything wrong per se. I think it also depends on your body, so for me, I have mostly constipation so I don't feel this issue is a big deal in my daily life, but it would be totally different if I had mostly diarrhoea. Honestly, it's a very long process and it can take years to manage to re-train your bowels to go in strange places, so just keep trying to do your best!

Thank you for this, I have serious issues with constipation and I’ve tried for doctors to diagnose me with something to get a referral to a specialist but still nothing. They just overlook me

You're welcome. I hope you manage to find a diagnosis soon. I went private because of my health insurance so I just went straight to a GI and it was like immediate. Keep trying to get seen, don't give up :)

I hope you found a good GI doc. I didn't want to take another medicine for the IBS. I did some research and many people with FIbro have IBS and are lacking in magnesium. So, I bought some magnesium tablets and take it every night. I am able to go every day now. I don't have to take laxatives. YEAH! Just something to think about and research.

Hi Olga! I’ve had this as long I can remember...even as a child. Finally going to see a GI next month. Do you take a medicine?
@olgachronics32734 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yay for you, I hope they are helpful! I don't take any medication (like prescription ones) but I take supplements to help - I plan on making a video about it soon :)

Maybe start by discussing your symptoms with him and asking to see a specialist in order to confirm a diagnosis and seek some professional help.

I have issues with constipation and its made worse by being afraid to poop anywhere but home, or around anyone, basically I don't want anyone to know I poop, did you ever experience anything like that?
@ReadJournalLove4 жыл бұрын
Mike Smith I’m the same way! It’s like a big fear of mine. I’ll hold it until I get home which doesn’t help matters at all.
@MikeSmith-cy5ip4 жыл бұрын
@@ReadJournalLove Have you ever had to poop in public and how did you deal with it, any advice, because I know holding it is not good.
@olgachronics32734 жыл бұрын
I think this is called a nervous bladder? Nervous intestine maybe? I also struggle with this. But I don't have to hold it, I just can't go if it's not at home. But I have been working on it. It helps to feel safe, like when you stay at a hotel, and it's just you, or if your partner is there asking them to use headphones or watch tv. That's what I do when we are away from home. I mostly only have to go in public when I get episodes of diarrhoea so I normally don't get a choice. I think reminding yourself that this is a super natural part of life is important, everyone needs to do it to stay healthy. So you're probably the only one judging you. Being kinder to ourselves is probably a good place to start :)
