The timbren instructions say to measure unloaded, nor javked up and make sure the timbren sits about an inch from the axle. This is so its nit always activating when empty. Using the spacer and punning the timbren all the time will lead to premature wear and possibly other issues.

That's true. Timbren lists the preload (gap between the Timbren spring and the axle) they want to see in the instructions for each application. www.etrailer.com/Vehicle-Suspension/Timbren/TDR2500D.html

Would these coexist with an Equalizer weight distribution hitch? Curious if they would add bounce that would make things worse instead of supporting the load?

The Timbren Aeon springs will work just fine with a weight distribution hitch. The Timbrens work best for supporting payload carried in the bed or cargo area of the vehicle while weight distribution uses leverage provided by the spring bars to help equalize the ride height between the front and rear tow vehicle axle. They WILL work together. www.etrailer.com/Vehicle-Suspension/Timbren/TDR2500D.html
