An Ogham Stone is a type of ancient monument found in Ireland dating back to the 5th century. The individual stones usually bear mysterious inscriptions, usually consisting of a series of lines and notches carved in ancient Celtic script. Although the meaning of these carvings remain a mystery to this day, it is believed that they may have been used to mark ancestral lineage or serve as memorials for events in history.
Ogham Content is now linked to The Ogham Academy in Co. Waterford, Ireland. Established to create a virtual space in which to study and understand this native Irish script.
