Great-thank you for this tutorial. I bought a hobby lock 774, 25+ years ago and have never used it. I am trying to set up classes now that I have the time and patience.

Showing how the seams should look is brilliant, and telling us how to fix them. There’s pictures in my instructions but I just couldn’t get it. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain.

Your video is one of a kind. I was trying to do a rolled hem on a lace bridesmaid dress and had so much trouble with it sliding around. It would catch part of it then miss whole sections. I looked and looked for help on you tube but found nothing. I finally had the idea to use some kind of stabilizer so I used the tearaway as I didn't have water soluble and it worked. Then I searched you tube using stabilizer when serging and found your video. It confirmed that I wasn't the only one who had to use stabilizer. I kept thinking it was my setting on my machine and that I didn't know what I was doing. Thank you so much. Am subscribing to your channel and recommending you to a friend.

Hi Sarah, You have NEVER let me down!! I love how details you go into the tips. Also, how easy to see everything clearly in the videos. I'm so happy you are doing the serger tutorials. Do you have a video of how to do a coverstitch on a serger?

Hi! Thank you for your kind words! Currently, we do not have a coverstitch video, but we hope to in the future.

I'm making a knit top from jersey 4-way stretchy fabric and I'm using my serger to sew the seams. I want to stabilize the shoulder seams and that 'clear elastic' technique you referenced in your video interests me. Do you trim off the excess elastic after you serge the seam?

I sure wish I had this info a couple of months back. I completely ruined a small organza bag when I tried to fix it after it started coming apart. I have had my serger for several years but this was the first time I tried it using a shear fabric. I don't know why I didn't think of a stabilizer. Doh!

What is a good stitch setting for a 4 thread serger for sewing canvas?

I would probably stick with the standard settings, but reduce my tension to 3. If you see any puckering, you may need to increase your stitch length.
