Early morning is always the best time to enter the park! That's your best chance to beat the line at the entrance. I suggest getting to the entrance gate before 8 or 9 am.

Not sure if it's just the off-season but, if you ask in Check-In at Noon to go to your room early it might be ready and you'll have your room longer than 4 or 5:00PM. Room Service just needs time to clean up the rooms before the next Check-in cycle. A little secret I ran into this past April.

Where do you suggest to park if we want to go hiking or easy accesible to shuttles?

Yosemite Village Visitor Parking is the biggest parking lot (most likely place to get parking) plus the visitor center is there. There is a bus stop that will take you around the valley from that location. Curry Village and The Yosemite Valley Lodge are also great options.

There is no internet in Curry Village. Degnan's Kitchen (in Yosemite Village) has free public wifi but I wouldn't rely on it as it is known for being spotty or just not working if it is too busy. Not enough bandwidth for how many people visiting. There really is a wifi issue in Yosemite
