Was looking at my screen and you popped up! Thank you!!! The Flymph you tie here is just an excellent pattern for all tyers and fly fishers. It is much like the Pheasant tail nymph or the GRHE. Have those you don't need much else.

Indeed. I think I mentioned in a previous video that I consider hare's ear, pheasant tail, and peacock herl to be "The Holy Trinity" of fly tying materials. Thanks for watching.

Looking at your lessons from the first to this (actually viewed then all). Great teacher, usually perfect but skilled in correcting minor issues. I'm old(er). Fished the Rapidan in Virginia for three decades. Want to come down with a familiar guide? Experienced but maybe not a guide.No charge I can hold my own on the Rapidan. President Hoover's Camp David. Dry fly (I know that subsurface is 80% of a trouts diet. Come down to Virginia. I'd enjoy your company. Maybe you could teach me some tying in person? I assure you a good time, rain or shine. Size 12 2xl Nymph hook. I will occasionally tie these on dry fly hooks if I plan to hit them with some floatant and fish them dry. There are times when this is an absolutely deadly technique.
