I have a small set of Lyra watercolour pencils but most of mine are for adult colouring. I have no delusions about my ability but I’ve always loved playing around with pencils essentially and pens and paint. I’m not Sarah Renae Clark who you may have come across. She has thousands of pencils! I have over 400…Prismacolor, Arteza, Crayola, Lyra mainly. I bought most of them while in England as they weren’t available here. We are SLOWLY getting more art supplies here but nothing like what you can get. Most of our supplies come from Europe, England and Germany mostly. As you know from Winsor and Newton, they are pricey. We just don’t get the inexpensive stuff like Mei Liang. Our cheapest supplies are absolute trash…bed enough to turn even kids off painting forever!!!

Interesting I have not come across her but will check her out. I’m learning that what’s available here is just not in other areas. So interesting and unfortunate. Your collections sounds fabulous! I believe we all are crazy talented it just looks Different for each of us. I’ve had students that walked in claiming I have zero talent and leave one of my classes smiling and happy about what they created. Makes me so happy Happybpainting friend and thank you for the insight! 🌸🎨
