Sàwàtdee kà 🙏🇹🇭
One of the reasons I love living in Thailand is the fascinating Thai culture, which is deeply rooted in our beliefs. 💐
Today’s podcast is all about Thai beliefs, especially those related to luck-both good and bad-prosperity, and wealth. We’ll explore how Thai people enhance these aspects of life through traditional beliefs and ceremonies.
In this episode, you’ll learn new vocabulary, including alternative ways to refer to each year in the Chinese zodiac. I hope you’re also starting to recognize some Thai conjunctions I frequently use, like “แล้วก็” (láew gôr), “แต่” (dtàe), and “นั่นก็คือ” (which is/which are) to connect sentences. If you missed them before, give it a try this time-you’ve got this! ✌🏻😎
Try mimicking my tones to help your throat muscles remember the sounds accurately. Trust me, learning Thai becomes much easier once you can clearly identify each tone. I’m also keeping the grammar simple, so even if you’re just starting out, you can enjoy listening too!
Don’t worry if you don’t catch everything, especially if it’s your first time listening to Thai. Focus on the tones and sounds, repeat my sentences out loud, and watch my gestures. Remember, the best way to improve your listening is to “Keep Listening and Speaking Out Loud!” I’ll make it as clear and simple as possible! 🤞😊
Feel free to leave a comment on today’s topic and practice your writing with me! :)
I hope you’re all doing well!
