Earth's interior is divided into several layers on the basis of density of the material and its state of matter. 1. Crust - up to 34 km • CC(SiAl) + OC(SiMa) • oxygen>Si>Al 2. Mantle - up to 2900km • SiMa • upper mentle - semi solid ( asthenosphere) due to presence of radioactive material • lower mentle- solid state possibly due to pressure 3. Core - up to 6371 km • inner core - solid (NiFe) • outer core - liquid due to primordial heat .. responsible for magnetic field generation of earth Lithosphere - up to 100 km . Crust+ some part of upper mantle Asthenosphere - 100-700km Mesosphere - lower mentle 700-2900km Barysphere - core
