There are a million tutorials on how to play the bass that are free. What makes this creator unique is his advanced base which he's not going to be able to teach you since you only have 30 days worth the material. It looks like he's going to teach elementary slap base on the 30th day which you do not need to pay for. I think it would have made a lot more sense for him to offer a lesson plan to intermediate users. For most people it would be way more practical to start with just the free tutorials online or a much much cheaper course

Sire make some amazing basses sub 500. They play really well and sound really nice. Don't buy cheap, cheap. But you don't need to spend anywhere near 1k to get started. Factor in at least 2-300 for an amp, too.
@fsendventd
@fsendventd 2 ай бұрын
Squier makes some great ones, even the Affinity models are decent quality now and the Classic Vibe ones (and any others around that price range even if they aren't branded as Classic Vibe) are actually really good, I've liked every one I've played. Ibanez also has some great entry level stuff. I have a Sterling by Music Man Ray4HH because I wanted a Stingray and I'd say it's about the same level as a Squier CV. Someone else mentioned Sire and those are great value for money and have some features that models double or even triple their price sometimes don't, but I've never played one. If you care at all about how it looks, a nice benefit of a Squier or Sterling is that they're official Fender or Music Man products respectively, which means they have the rights to use the trademarked shapes and look just like the "real deal" but with a different name on them. That was honestly a big reason I got a Sterling instead of another Stingray clone, only Music Man products are allowed to have the classic 3-and-1 headstock.

@@CharlesBerthoudare you allowing people to download the material and save it on their own storage? Because obviously there's no way you can save for certain this website's going to be up in 10 years. We've learned this the hard way from all the video game companies when you allegedly buy something but you find out you're just licensing access to use it.
@michael_c2

@@CharlesBerthoud"You agree that from time to time we may remove the Service for indefinite periods of time or cancel the Service at any time, without notice to you. " You should really stop saying lifetime access because I think it's wild misleading is leading, based on the terms of service. This can be taken down anytime you want for any reason permanently or temporarily or modified. No one owns this course it's just a perpetual license which can be removed at any time. This is frustrating I expect this stuff from Amazon and Microsoft but I guess I had hoped better

Just when I finally, after wanting it for a few years, bought a bass! Guess who will definitely buy it. BTW: Charles, what's your opinion about store-bought bases in novice's hands - are they usually ok to play as is at least at this stage, or is it a good idea to get a professional to look at them first and if necessary set them up? It's not really something a novice can assess...
