Thank you so very much for this tutorial. I have only ever known what you call the simple stitch ( Afghan stitch to me) and have tried to learn the knit and purl stitches but most tutorials are hard to see what they are doing. You make it so easy to follow and I love this pattern. Working on hats for Christmas gifts. Hugs 🤗

I like to make these hats going top to bottom instead of lengthwise. It's easier to deal with 25-35 stiches per row than 70-90. That said I do the edge band lengthwise, but that's only 6 or 7 rows at most.

I am new to Tunisian crochet and want to say thank you first for this pattern. But I have a question, I am using red heart super save 4 weight yarn and when I did the child/teen it measures 20.5 inches long? What did I do wrong? I make beanies for my church to use in the shoebox Christmas Child.

I would try going down a hook size. Maybe you crochet a tad looser than I do. :)

Hi there, thanks for the tutorial. I just have 1 question tho which I hope you can help me with. I'm doing the kids/teen size and I'm a bit confused with the instructions in relation to rows 10-18. What does repeat R9 mean? Do I repeat rows 10-18 9 times? Much appreciated.
