If you’re just learning to sew this is a great project for you! Even if you’ve been sewing a long time, you’ll still love this! Let me know if you try it.
Bread is all the rage right now, so wouldn’t this make a perfect gift?!

With your corners, prior to turning it out the right way, cut a small diagonal across each one. It reduces bulk on your finished product, and makes your corners crisp.

Yep, you can do that if you want. It depends on your fabric if needed or not. This is not bulky fabric, so I didn’t bother. They turned perfectly fine. But this is a good tip if using a heavier fabric.

I made my own finally. I found some fabric I liked that was good thick linen and it took me a while but it turned out nice. My sourdough stays fresh longer now without drying out.

Ok, I've been making my own bread for years but never thought about storing it in a cloth bag. I'm gonna order one because I can't sew. It probably will keep the bread fresh longer than my bread box. The box seems to hold too much moisture.

You're too kind. 🤩I already ordered one. Just keep putting out great content. If I like the one I ordered I'm gonna try and make one myself. Always better to learn a skill. Thanks again for the offer though. YOU GUYS ROCK!!

Couple questions. If you sew the "football" corners is it still reversible? Also do the fabrics have to be the same for each side? Like linen for one side and cotton for the other for when you need to wash it if that makes sense. Last question do. you hand wash this? I don't know if I want laundry soap residue on my bread. 😊😊

Oh my goodness! So many good questions! I’ll do my best to answer. You’re right, if you see the corners it is less reversible, that’s partly why I used a decorative stitch, so it still looked nice. Always wash your fabric BEFORE you see this will prevent shrinking later. And I use a homemade natural laundry soap so I would feel comfortable washing in the regular was. But you could certainly wash by hand. A quick swish in the Kirk’s soap would would wonderfully! I hope that helps. 😊
